Some time ago I put up a fuss about Filling out forms to receive prizes won with a value of under $600. The weekly prize I was notified of winning was valued at I believe $57.00 rounded. They required I complete a form. There was some back and forth correspondence. I finally agreed to complete their form EXCEPT they allowed me to complete it WITHOUT supplying them with my Social Security Number. So I did complete their form w/o SS number and today I received my prize. :sunny:

Thanks for posting the outcome of your story. It is information we can use. Always good to be cautious with requests for SSNs.
 
Yeah I agree, that is crazy. Good for you for standing up to them! I once saw someone posted that someone (SheKnows...I think) wanted their ssn over some bags of peanuts. That's absurd, you really have to be careful!
 
Congratulations! My first affy was for a clock worth $10. I thought how ridiculous. I never returned it because it just wasn't worth my time to get it notarized. I forgot about the win, but to my surprise, I received it 3 weeks later.
