GoodReads Win NOT

'Supposedly' won a book on 2/29/11 with 74 other people. Didn't get it. Contacted GoodReads and the guy sponsoring the contest both. Guy had 'distributor issues' and promised I'd have it soon. Still no book. I'll never enter at GoodReads again, which is too bad because I love reading. BOO! :cussing:
 
:wave: Sorry for your disappointment, but I can assure you that Goodreads is not a scam. If you are expecting your prizes to reach you before 60 days of winning, you will have many disappointments sweeping. If they are telling you that there was a problem with the distribution, than I am guessing that they don't have the books yet to send. If you enjoy reading, I wouldn't quit entering their contests as many members have received books from them, myself included. Best of luck to you!

dont give up on GoodReads, this isnt typical...I personally have won from them SEVERAL times and have almost always had my book within 2 to 4 weeks of winning. I havent entered that one lately since I now own a Kindle and dont read as many printed books as before, but its a great site to enter for wins!!! give them another shot! :)
 
I have won several great books from goodreads and I didn't have to wait long to get them.I also got all the books I won.I love their site.
 
So far I have "won" 4 books from goodreads. I just won them over the past few days so we'll see in the coming month when they do come or not. Just so stoked I won something :)
 
I won an awesome cookbook from them and received it very fast. Sorry you had such a bad experience. When you do recieve your book, make sure you write a quick review of the book on their website otherwise they don't consider you for another book win. I hope everything works out and you get your book.
 
Ive won 4 from them, and the first took 3 weeks, the second took a week, third took 3 days, and the fourth, its been 3 weeks and hasn't come in yet....
 
Like the others have said, Dont give up. I won a book on 2/28 and it just now came in the mail. I went into the goodreads site and looked at the page the book was on. There was a place that I could enter whirther or not I got the book. I put that I had not gotten it (because at that time I still did not have it). I thought maybe there had been a mistake and just let it go after that. Sometime between the 18 and the 22 of April the book came, AND there was a poster with it.

So, don't give up. Check the page the book is on at Goodreads and see if theres a place to indicate that you havent gotten the book yet. If theres a problem with the distibuter then thats not the author or goodreads fault. That has to do with the publisher and getting the book printed and then sent out. Don't give up because I'm sure one day it will be in your mail. GL.
