 Hi All!
You don't have to vote for president/vice president of the U.S. if you don't want to - you can just vote for U.S. Senator, or your U.S. House of Representatives, or any county or local race (dogcatcher, maybe????). Or, you can just go to vote and not vote for any one at all on the ballot. But DON'T GIVE UP YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE!!!!!!! :nono: It is the most sacred right, privilege, and obligation we, as United States citizens, have.
I have voted in the presidential and gubernatorial races (every two years) since my 21st birthday (that was the age it was, "way back then," not 18 like it is now), and I am 61 now. Even when I was out of the country (South Korea and West Germany - my first husband was in the Army), I voted "absentee," and it was a struggle finding out when and where I could vote (I had to write, write, write - this was before the "internet" was "discovered!").
I don't know who I want as President of the U.S. I am much more liberal than you guys, but I like Sen. John McCain. I don't know much about Palin, except she is from Alaska and has five children. I like Sen. Barak Obama, too. And both McCain and Obama took the "high road" in the last week - McCain TV ads congratulating Sen. Biden, and Obama's statement that the family SHOULDN'T be part of the campaign (speaking about Palin's non-married daughter). It should be about the candidates, and that's all. :nono:
This is my "two cents worth." :crazytongue:
