So freaking annoyed. And although we have a pretty good relationship with our neighbor's this led to a whole lot of swearing before I said to my bf "calm down" and go ring the doorbell.
So here is the deal. We are at the end of the road on a dead end street. To back out of our garage, we have to back straight up into a longer driveway with kind of a parking pad at the back end (belonging to us). Then pull forward a little bit to get onto the road. It is kind if hard to explain. But anyway, back out tonight in the dark, and thunk!! The kid has parked his black sports car in our driveway, in the parking pad part!! So our SUV hits it. (totally didn't see it, there aren't street lights or anything) Went over and knocked on the door, and his little sister (10, who babysits our cats while on vacation) answered it and said he is out with the parents. Haven't heard from then yet, but expect to in the morning.
Oh, and last Sunday night he parked it on the main road, just off of the spur, and it snowed 8 inches and had we to get out Monday morning, and snowplow couldn't get to our spur because of his car parked on the main road, just off our spur. They were very apologetic, and luckily our snowplow driver saw that it had been moved on his second pass (after talking to neighbors and saying, I don't think the snowplow made it down here cause there is a CAR on the main road before ours).
And I don't get WHY it isn't parked in their own driveway in front of their own garage!! I know they have two cars in their garage, but they have a parking spot in front of their garage!! Totally pissed. It may be inconvenient to move it in and out if want to take one of your other cars out, but jeepers.
And this better not be going on our insurance, cause it was parked without permission on our private drive!! There is never a car parked there unless we or one of our guests is parked there!!
Hopefully they will take responsibility for it. Our bumper is cracked, and his has a dent that could see in the dark. Might be more visible damage in morning.
Thanks for letting me vent, feel better now!!!!!!!
