soooo... I got my first win just now, A Dove candy bar. kinda sad to cause I've been at this for a week now. 1-2 hours daily. is that normal? am i just impatient er what. i Want the vacation or something cool like that! :sleepy:
any encouraging words would be appreciated.

Thats normal you have those weeks with a few wins but trust me those hours you put in now will add up. I've won Two trips (trip for 4 to New York and Trip for 2 to New York) .....hotel rooms...Big screen TVs...$$$$.....but also over 300 small wins. A little patience is key but it does pay off. I've been a member for a while now and I really appreciate and love SA!
Keep Sweeping!!
:headbang:

A week? Your lucky you already won something, even if it is small. One thing about sweeping is you must have patience, and persistence. You may go months without winning anything. If you go into sweeping expecting to win huge prizes, or alot of them right away, your just setting yourself up for a huge dissapointment, and will burn yourself out from sweeping. Treat sweeping as a part time hobby, not a job, and when you win something, they will be much sweeter wins. Good luck, and have fun. :sunny:

It definitely can be frustrating but it's about patience and persistence as the other person said. I enter 200+ sweepstakes a day and so does my boyfriend. We have been sweeping for about 3 months. I have won a trip to Greece (after 2 months), a new cell phone, etc but my boyfriend hasn't won one thing so it can all depend. Good luck! :sunny:

There are times when you will think that there have to be better ways of spending your time, and that's probably true! But this is a pretty additive little hobby. I've never had a big win, after years--but lots of little ones, including many in the $100-200 range, which is still nice. I always have lots of cool stuff to give away to friends and I donate lots of food and kid items to local charities.

You are starting off great. My first win was a bag of m&m's candy. I didn't get my big win until about 3 -4 months of sweeping (it was a $1,000 visa card). It can take time, but it does take patience and faith. I'm still hoping to win a car or trip one day and I've been at this for 2 yrs. Just hang in there and your wins will start coming in

:sunny: Keep it up. Congrats on the candy. Most wins are small. Iv'e been doing this several years and have yet to have to pay tax. It's a numbers game. The more you enter the more you win.

Congrats on your wins!

You ask if it is normal...there is a lot of variation but you are one of the lucky ones who didn't wait too long before winning. Some people wait 4 months, 6 months or longer before winning anything. Check out the forums if you haven't already done so...lots of newbie info, questions and answers, including this topic you raised here.

Patience, persistence, a positive attitude, helping others, keeping things in perspective...sweeping is about lots more than winning, although that is the goal.

My first win of online entering was a coupon from Lowe's $10 0ff $50. I got back sweeping a year ago. This was was coined on the TLC show, it is like fishing you are out there for hours and you get alot of little fish and once in awhile you catch a big one. You will get alot of candy, giftcards and somewhat useless stuff that will make you smile. Statistically you win one of seven hundred sweeps you enter. Try not to get sidetrack by the forums, FB, Twitter and checking your email every five minutes or looking out the window for the mail truck or UPS. You can learn from the forums and I think this is a great site to organize your sweeps and see the new and expiring sweeps. I have had luck on daily entries. I must admit I love the instant games because of the instant gratification but they do take up your sweep time, nothing like getting a winning screen for a piece of candy lol. And use Roboform, it does help.

Best of Luck to You!

I have sweeping every single day for the last 8 months, 2-4 hours everyday, and I have yet to win something big. I've had quite a few little wins, like movie tickets, gift cards, music downloads and beauty products, but no trips, cash or anything like that. It was several months before I even had a win, so the fact that you've had 3 wins your first week is amazing in my opinion. Sweeping takes a lot of patience and persistence. Remember, there are thousands of others like you entering too, so the other half of it is luck for sure.

Good luck!!

IMO winning fast is a double edged sword - you don't have to go through the frustration of months, perhaps years, of entering with no reward, but because you won so fast, you burn out quick if it doesn't happen again.

You are actually lucky your first win was small - you have nowhere but up to go! As long as you remember this is a hobby that doesn't give back proportional to what you put in, you'll stick it out. :sunny:

I am definately in this thing part-time only started doing this last week. I jump on browse through a few contest, throw my name into a few that look interesting, and hope for the best. That's all you really can do is hope. I usually enter the small stuff like for gift cards, jewelry, books that kind of thing. I am pretty new to this site. I love entering contest though always have. Best of luck to all---

I found this site several years ago and enterted sweeps everday for about a year an half. I never won a "big" prize. Still holding out hope! :) But like the sweepers before me said, the more you enter, the more likely youare to win. Good luck!
