I haven't been this embarassed in a long time, lol.

I took my kids to church and then I went and parked in dh's cousins driveway to watch for a family (friends) to leave for church. I waited awhile and assumed they were gone since the truck wasn't there, I thought maybe they took that instead of the car. I was trying to be sneaky, they are going through hard times right now and I was going to leave a bag of groceries for them without them knowing who did it.

Well, I get out the car with the bag of groceries and step into a small hole, my shoes buckle and down I went! What makes matters worse? Her husband opened the door just in time to witness my fall. He didn't laugh though, he asked if I was ok. They are a really nice christian family. But, they have a great sense of humor so I am sure I'm not going to live this one down, lol.

Think this tops it off? Nope, read on to the rest of my horror. I took a coupon to Walmart while the kids were in church to pick up some chicken breasts for dinner tonight and what do I do in the check out line? I fall again! I guess it wasn't the hole making these shoes buckle like that. OMG. Anyways, the only person who seen was the cashier (I hope!!), thank goodness. She asked if I was ok because, I nearly hit my head on the floor but, skimmed it on the shelf behind me which is what saved me from that.

Needless to say, I came straight home and tossed the shoes across the room. I'm donating these cursed shoes to the Salvation army when I go back to town. I don't have trouble with heels so there is something about these shoes (wedges) that kept buckling on me.

Well....here it comes time to pick up the kids and I go and stood outside my car on the phone with my mom. Look down to see I am standing in an ant bed, An ant bit my toe and out here I'm allergic to these ants for some reason. This tiny ant caused a huge blister and I didn't have my benedryl (sp) in my purse but, I didn't break out this time so that was no biggie.

I am so ebarassed, glad I didn't break my ankles but, my ego is bruised. I was telling my mom about my morning and she said she had the same type of day the other day. Here I am now with a fear of a pair of shoes and I love shoes! BTW, today is the 1st day ever wearing them. Never again! :nono:

I've had a day similar to that recently. I fell after getting my hair cut. My children were in shock and probably embarrassed. Some man who was out in the parking lot drinking a beer jumped over a car to my rescue. I hopped up really quick. They teased me constantly ever chance they got for about a week about my drunk super hero. Thinking back on it makes me laugh.

Sorry but I am laughing reading this. Glad you are ok miki and yeah get those shoes out of your life lol.

I can picture this whole thing happening now, reminds me of some of the drunks in CA and how they acted.

Cin, no need to say you are sorry. I'm laughing at myself now, I mean what else can you do? My hubby has been teasing me since getting home when I told him. And the shoes? They are gone within a few days, lol. I almost threw them out on the side of the road but, didn't want to litter.

You know.... I have those problems with heels ALL THE TIME  :booty"

I'm along with Cin on this.. I'm not lalughing with you.. I'm laughing AT YOU.

we've all done it. :sunny:

lol, these weren't heels though! That's whats funny, I can wear shoes with heels but, these are wedges and well you know how the rest went.

I don't think my kids would have hid if they were with me, they are always asking me if I'm ok if I say "ouch" or something, lol. Now, when they get older it will probably be different.
