I haven't won a thing

I have been sweeping for over a month now and haven't won a thing. I have started to think this is a waste of my time. All I have to show is a box full of newsletters and things to buy.

Hang in there. Don't give up. Sometimes I go months without any sort of win, then one day it just shows up on your doorstep or in your inbox. Good Luck! :sunny:

This is a hobby... It's done in fun and if you happen to win something along the way then CONGRATULATIONS to you.... If you are going to be a true sweepstaker, then patience is a must... If you enter and KEEP entering, you will WIN. It's inevitable...

My advice is to give it a good six months - then decide.
It takes a bit of work - but when you hit it big it is awesome!

This hobby is like working a part time job without the paycheck but the thrill when you win, even it is a candy bar. Statistically you get one win in every 700 entries and for me, lately, my win has been a Chocolate Sweepstakes & Giveaways bar or a song download. If you are consistently entering 300-400 sweeps a day you should see a win. My first win was a coupon, second win a computer bag and our favorite win of all was a plastic banana holder!? Some are lucky and win big prizes, trips, money or electronics, but for me those have been far and few between. Good Luck!

One thing you have to consider since you have only been sweeping a little over a month is that if you are entering sweeps other than instant wins a lot of what you are entering haven't ended yet. Then once a sweeps ends in may be a few days to a month or more until the winner is chosen. Then it takes sometimes up to 2-3 months before the winner is notified and prizes shipped. Not all sweeps take that long but very few end today, notify the next and ship the prize the next. Some will notify you of the win before shipping it, others will just ship it and not even put a note in with the prize so you are left wondering which sweeps it is from. Hang in there, the wins will come! Patience, persistence and consistency are all needed when sweeping! Good luck!!

Believe me sometimes it can get discouraging but it is all worthwhile, especially when you see the CONGRATULATIONS message. Just give it a little longer, I promise you will be so excited when you see your 1st one.

A month isn't nearly long enough to be worried about not winning. You have to give it at least 6 months because many sweeps run for a couple of months plus drawing/notification time. I started entering sweeps in June or July of 2010 and won my first big prize in April of 2011 and another this month. Consistency is the only thing you can control so stick to it. The odds of winning are fairly slim but the only to cut down those odds are consistency and time. I wouldn't still be entering, and most people probably wouldn't, if it were impossible to win. Stay positive and Good Luck!

Yes, what everybody has said so far is very true. I too felt the exact same way as you--been sweeping for about 6 weeks, every day, part-time, and was getting discouraged that I had not one anything-- especially when I saw a winner who had only been sweeping for 1 week. But it happened this past week for me. I was notified by email that I had won a $50 gas card. And the feeling was tremendous! So, please hang in there. Your first win could very well be tomorrow.

I know how you feel. I've had dry spells and then woohoo a win! Sometimes small sometimes medium so I would say hang in there. I've found beauty contests have been my best return wins. Allure,Beautyblitz just to name a couple. I was feeling bummed once about a long dry spell and took a two week break and I found out I missed entering. Then I won something. Sometimes you need a break from the same old same old.

I have been doing this for 5 years and just won my first trip. I won some other awesome prizes too. Patience and Perseverance is key. Try to enter some blogs or skill contests. They usually have low entries. Don't give up you will win, when you least expect it.

sexykerrie,
You are not alone,I feel the same way! I have been doing this for over two months 10-13 hours a day.Everyone says it takes times, and I am trying to remember that. Then I read about a lady that quiet her job, because she won more sweeping ,than she did working a full time job.It does get discouraging, but let's hang in there and see what happens!

What sweeps is the bes to enter? Are any better than others?

That is too subjective for me to give a good answer. What I find good you may not be interested in winning, and lots of members like trip sweeps, and I avoid them.

With time, you will know right away if you are into a sweeps by the prizes and/or the sponsor - I won $500 from an IW from a sponsor I'd never heard of before, and found little info on when I did a search on them, so I don't just stick to nationally known sponsors.

Most sweepers start out entering everything and anything, but after time, they refine it down, becoming more selective.
