I'm moving

Question: I'm moving. How do I change the address on my sweeps. Do i have to contact every contest and give them a new address, or should I re-register with a new email address?

I've contacted USPS, FEDEX, UPS. So, they have my new address, but if I want to continue entering contests that I've already entered with my new address what is the best way to go about it? thanks.

I never quite figured that out. I moved in June. For the contests that I entered before the move and couldn't change my address with I just made up a new email address (you will have to put a note under the sweep in SA to remember to use the new email). I figure in the next 6 months all of my contests will be with my old email again. Kind of a pain because you have to check two emails but that way you are sure they have your new one too. HTH

Good luck with the move!

I think you have make a clean break of it. Start using the new mailing address as soon as you move and notify all the postal services of the new address. My personal preference for a sweepstakes email account is a gmail or yahoo account because it does not matter where you live and they are free. Soon google might be releasing a new Internet calling service where you can have your own google phone number and voice mail. This will also be great for sweepstakes because it won't matter if you move. You can get yourself put on a invitation list with google when the new service becomes available.

what do i do with the instants? once you register, your info is in there and you just sign in using an email address, so I reregister with another email , and start all over?

Any sites that you have to actually register with, you just go into your account/profile and change all the information. With all other sweepstakes, you just start entering with your new address/information.

"Return Path" used to have a email forwarding service, but they sold it off; and the new company doesn't forward email, just puts the change of email address in a directory for people to look up and find you.

I did a search for email forwarding and came across this one:

FYI...some of the prizes that come via the post office will have "return service requested" or something like that. The Coke Sweepstakes Edo cards I think have that. If you move the post office may send them back rather than forwarding them. Not sure if Coke/sponsor would send prizes back out. Luckily I moved a few blocks down the road. I've had a couple of wins sent to my old address and the new owner calls me. I may have lost out on a few too.
