Plus all the solders during WWII got free cigarettes with their mess kits. That is why my Dad started smoking. Getting shot at makes you nervous for some strange reason...
Oh...and the "Cigares de Joy"...were not tobacco, they were Hashish. Which does work for all the disorders listed in the ad!
 
At least they don't have half naked women seducing the ciggies :laughing:

Ads these days are just as bad. Look at the ones selling all the new drugs and then a few months later we find out someone has a law suit against that drug company.

:laughing: What Bill inhaled. I am so glad I gave up smoking years ago. Now if you smoke please don't take offense here. I quit over 20 years ago and now I can't even stand to be around it. I gag on the smoke. And it's so expensive now. It's one of those things I'm just glad I decided to give up.

:laughing: I know how hard it can be to quit. I wish my youngest daughter would. She's 25 and I just know it's so addictive. I have to say the main reason DH and I did stop was because it was expensive for us even back then.
 
Its very expensive. Here in IL they have a 1.00 per pack tax on top of the regular price so even the generics cost around 4.00.. :nono: We try to buy ours in MO since they are alot cheaper there. still pricey though. Im going to concentrate on losing a little weight and then focus on trying to quit smoking. I cant do both right now. well I could but for the welfare of my family I better not. :laughing:
 
Well I wish you the best of luck on both your goals. It's just something you have to really want to do and it can be done. It's not easy but once you do decide to quit you will be so proud of yourself.
 
I quit about 9 years ago (after 33 years of smoking).
What a nightmare.

I did for about 2 weeks - a friend had great success using it, and like me, started smoking young & had tried LOTS of other ways!

I stopped because I had oral surgery & didn't want to be a guinea Pig :crazytongue:

I never started back up & now I'm glad - not that with my history I'd even be able to tell if it messed me up!!! :whistle:
