I would love to see more giveaways that arent all sport related on X and more on instagram that arent all lotions and makeup am I missing something because thats all that i pretty much see

X does have a ton of giveaways this time of year that are sport related due to football season. That is sort of unavoidable. On the Instagram side of things we have listed a ton of giveaways recently that were gift cards, trips, cash. mixed prize packages and more.

Some of the sports related X giveaways run by Budweiser are good. Also prolific on X are many gamer giveaways. Not interested myself but others are. Most of them seem pretty iffy to me and are open worldwide which I usually avoid. Now on Instagram, there are plenty of giveaways that are not cosmetics but yeah, they are very common. Don't enter them just to be entered into something because that teaches IG's algorithm that you are interested in them and more will show up in your feed.

X perma-banned my account today after 15 years (lol). Probably cause I've been posting the same tweet once a day for a while to get extra entries for a sweep on Gleam. Got an automatic (within a second) denial for my appeal, so it's pretty clear to me that no one from X even reads those.

Guess I'm just done with sweeps on X for good if that's how it be now. Too much effort to just have account(s) nuked. Tho looking back, I'm honestly not sure I've ever won anything that I can directly attribute to Twitter / X.

It's possible if it looked robotic. All the socials don't allow any bot like posts. You may be able to get it restored. Here is a reply from Grok AI.

Yes, there is a way to try getting a suspended (or "banned") X account restored, even if you don't know the exact reason. X (formerly Twitter) provides an official appeal process, and many people successfully get accounts unsuspended if it was a mistake or minor issue. Here's what you need to know and the steps to take:

1. Check the Suspension Notice First

  • When you try to log in, X usually shows a message explaining the reason (e.g., spam, inauthentic behavior, abusive posts, security concerns, or violating X Rules).
  • They often send an email to the account's registered email address with details and sometimes a direct appeal link. Check your inbox (and spam folder).

Common reasons include:

  • Spam or fake-looking activity
  • Automated behavior (bots)
  • Abusive content or harassment
  • Impersonation
  • Security risks (e.g., suspected hack)

2. Try Quick Unsuspension Steps (If Available)

If you can still partially log in:

  • Follow any on-screen prompts to verify your phone number or confirm your email.
  • Complete any CAPTCHA or security challenges.
  • This often fixes temporary locks or limitations quickly.

3. File an Official Appeal (Main Method)

This is the primary way to request restoration:

  1. Log in to the suspended account (if possible) or use the account details.
  2. Open a new browser tab and go to the official appeal form:→ https://help.x.com/en/forms/account-access/appeals (or search "appeal suspended account" on help.x.com).
  3. Fill out the form honestly and clearly:
    • Include your username (@handle), registered email, and any other requested info.
    • In the description, explain why you believe it was a mistake (e.g., "I don't recall violating any rules and have been a genuine user. Please review my account activity.").
    • Be polite, factual, and concise — avoid emotional rants or arguing aggressively.
    • If you know the specific reason from the notice, address it directly and provide context or evidence if relevant.
  4. Submit the appeal once (multiple submissions can delay things or look suspicious).

X reviews appeals, but responses can take days to weeks (sometimes longer). You'll get an email update if it's approved or denied.

4. Additional Tips for Better Chances

  • Be patient and persistent — Some users need to wait or follow up politely if no response comes.
  • Review X's Rules beforehand (help.x.com/en/rules-and-policies) so you can reference them accurately in your appeal.
  • If the suspension was for something like age verification or ID issues, you may need to upload photo ID.
  • Do not create new accounts to evade the suspension — this can lead to permanent issues.
  • If you're in the EU or UK, you may have extra rights under regulations like the DSA, which can sometimes help pressure for a review.
  • For some cases (e.g., data access requests), there are other support forms on help.x.com, but the main appeals form is the starting point.

Important Realities

  • Not all suspensions get reversed. Permanent bans for serious violations (e.g., repeated abuse, illegal content) are harder to overturn.
  • X uses automated systems, so mistakes happen, and appeals give humans a chance to review.
  • Success isn't guaranteed — it depends on the violation and the review team's decision.

Start with the official appeal form linked above, as that's the recommended process from X's help center. If you run into issues accessing the form or need more specific guidance (e.g., based on the exact error message), share more details and I can help refine the advice. Good luck!

My X account was suspended last week as well. I've appealed twice so far. The first time, I got an email that said my suspension was permanent and wouldn't be overturned. For the second appeal, they said that my account was locked and I needed to follow the on-screen instructions to unlock it. There are no on-screen instructions that I can see so I guess I'm going to have to send another appeal. On Reddit, some people said that it took 10 appeals before their account was unsuspended.

Looks like I'm in the same boat at the moment. My favorite part of their last auto-mail was
"Our automated systems have determined that a violation of our Rules did take place, specifically:" (nothing listed)
