I have searched Google, Wikipedia, and YouTube, and I still can't figure it out, so....

Does anybody have any idea who the rap band in Bowling For Soup's 1985 video is supposed to be?

This may show my lack of rapper knowledge but it looks like they are trying to be Run DMC? The really big guy with the bling makes me think that....

They wanted to do parodies of some of their favorite 1980's videos. That particular one is a parody of the Aerosmith/Run DMC "Walk This Way" video although they all dressed as Run DMC.
