IW timing

I know there's no exact science to instant wins, but I'm determined to know as much as I can. Since it's always a preset time....is it by multiples of 5? For ex 4:45, 4:50...though I realized my clock and their clock are likely not the same and I'm competing with tons of people....lack of IWs is driving me nuts

It is my opinion that there is no rhyme or reason to the timing, strictly random. Good luck, and if it makes you feel any better I have very little luck with IW's :cussing:

I hear ya - nada for me lately either. I usually try to wait it out, following my own advice in:

To get the funk outta me, then I focus on entering, voting, and answering questions

smile, have fun, enter, join plus to get more organized to enter more, don't worry about it, and you will win, sometime or another, you will win, just don't make it a job and it will stay fun so you are more likely to stick with it.

The other day I was entering an IW that gives you five chances a day. I was stalling a few minutes, going very slowly clicking the play again button, taking a long time to enter my new code, etc. I know I could have just walked away for awhile and come back later, but do you think I could have put it on hold, so I could enter other sweeps in between times?? Thanks in advance for any replies and/or tips, comments, etc. J.

okay, i've been trying the Wrigley's Hunt for the Red Skull "captain America" instant win movie tix but NO luck! Anybody wins so far?

I left out

whiner's wall

Some post their whines there and soon after report a win!!! :headbang:

Since we know right off if we won or lost with IW's, I think our expectations are a lot higher than they are for non-IW sweeps. I've found that when I can't hit on them, I sometimes get a surprise win from a non-IW sweeps which is much better than any of the prizes offered in the IW sweeps!

johnws556,

You ask a good question and I have often wondered about the same thing myself.

The best answer I can give is that I don't know but I think it may vary depending on how the Instant Win is designed.

Maybe on some, the time you login determines if you will win, and it only looks like you are playing multiple times (spinning a wheel, matching cards, or whatever).

Maybe on others, the time you play (each spin, match, whatever) determines if you win.

I usually keep the page open and play other Instant Wins, then return a short time later to try again. The reason I do that is because I noticed that on some games, if you close the page, you lose your additional turns, and I don't want to take a chance on that happening. I don't recall winning on this type of Instant, so I don't know if my method works! In general, I don't win a great many Instants, no matter how they are set up.

I hope this helps, but like I said, I don't know for sure.
