Oh boy - the past week has been a rollercoaster - some big highs, and bummer lows. I started out with the lows - last Wed. I woke up with such a sore throat, I thought I'd somehow swallowed glass!!! :cussing:
I tried to sleep, couldn't eat, and just felt awful!!! It's been so long since I've been sick, it kinda took me by suprise and really freaked me out!!! :scratch:
Anyway, 2 days later, I went in for a scheduled appt (Pain clinic) and tried to get seen for the throat, and by now, the (possible) sinus infection/bronchitis/whatever the heck was pounding my head so bad I couldn't even stand to be on the comp!!!
I waited over an hour to get "triaged" by a nurse, only to be told she couldn't give me a diagnosis - but, she did get me an appt for Monday & told me if I were better, to cancel. Since they don't normally schedule appts for that clinic, or allow walk-ins anymore, that was a HUGE help - I'd of had to try to call Monday when they opened, and hope they had an appt left by the time I got through - which I've NEVER been able to time right!!! :crazytongue:
So... after staying up to go to the Dr's. {after doing the grocery shopping hours earlier & SURE I'd never be able to go since I was so exhausted}, I actually felt better so I went to a locals casino I frequent for my weekly outing.
Now for the high - I hit a jackpot!!! It was for something I've tried to hit for like 12 - 14 years on this game I play called Ring 'Em Up - I hit the top pay of all {9} 7's for $6,000!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
The rest of the weekend I slept a LOT, got worse (somebody please drill a hole in my head already!!! :crazytongue: ) and yesterday saw the Dr and was given antibiotics - and today is the 1st day I've been able to stand being on the comp long enough to enter my sweeps!!!
Geez - I do go on, huh? :laughing: :crazytongue:
I just figured if anyone was wondering where I've been lately... :laughing:
I can always tell when I'm overtired/sick - I can almost type like normal people!!! :crazytongue:

With everything going on with me right now, losing IW's don't seem like that big a deal :laughing:

Too bad you had to wait several days for an appointment and couldn't have started your meds earlier. Hope you can find a better way in the future. Good description, by the way, swallowing glass.
