Kicked off facebook!

Notified last night I'm out because they think I have more than 1 facebook account and I don't. My husband has 1 also and we only use them for sweepstakes and occasional messages from daughters. We use 1 laptop for sweeps because of virus worries and that's all can guess this stems from but he has no problem. They wanted my phone # so they could text code buy my cell is old school (like me) so I had to scan and send DL (unhappily) last night and still no facebook for me. That's now cut me out of about 1/3 of my entries. Not happy! How long will this take to get back? Today since I couldn't finish entering went mall where someone rammed my car and took out the whole right front. NOT HAPPY!! Thank you for reading my vent, hope your day was Great!
 
I've been booted off FB a few times - it's a nightmare trying to get any help/answers!

Anyway, I just don't bother with it when it happens - I clear temp files/cookies then reboot and try to log in to FB again.

Sometimes it takes a few days, then it self corrects. :crazytongue:
 
:whistle: Good grief! With all the other problems and scammers on FB, you would think that they would have better things to do than to kick innocent people out. Hope you are able to get back in soon.
 
After reading Amy's post I'm wondering if they really meant to, maybe just a computer glitch and I sent out sensitive personal info for nothing. If I ever find out will let you know. I just want back on.
 
Rereading your post suellen36 - when I had a problem, I *think* it was it didn't recognize my login/too many tries with a wrong login or something - not a message they thought I had broken their limit on accounts per person? :scratch:

Most of this is automated, and I think the parameters they set to keep out the true cheaters snares the innocent sometimes, so hopefully that's all it is, and in a few days you'll be able to get back in, gl!!! :sunny:
 
I got booted off fb just the other day! I gave them my cell number and they texted me a code to put in. After I did that my account was unlocked and back to normal but it sucks knowing they can do that to us!

Twice in the past week I have had to get a code via cell phone to get back in. What I would like to know is what if you don't have a cell phone ... are you out forever? I know a few people on FB that don't have cell phones.

You have to send a copy of your ID if you can't get the text code. This has happened to a ton of sweepers in the past week (found a thread in Google search.) No amount of deleting cookies/logins/temp files, etc. will help you if you are locked out of Facebook like this. It's either text code, send in ID or nothing. If you make another account, I would assume it would be locked as well since you are only supposed to have one.
 
I have a cell, just have basic plan with no text to save money. I'm now sending them MANY emails in the hope they go ahead & fix so I stop bugging them. It was a big surprise to me just how many sweepstakes are tied to facebook even though they are not facebook sweeps. All of my likes disappeared. guess I can kiss this month goodby.
 
Got a email from facebook saying I was booted off by MISTAKE (DUH)! I back on but everything you have to "like" to enter has to redone, most are gone & I don't know if the removal of "likes" is retroactive. My husband said he heard people are getting others kicked out and it's become a problem. Hope this never happens to you! Thank you all for your kind support in my time of need. LOL :cheers:
 
Facebook problems

I am continually getting blocked from my facebook account and they will not give a reason. I only use this account for entering contests and sweepstakes and have no friends attached to the account to spare any friends from getting unnecessarily spammed. Since it seems normal for sweepers to have this type of account has anyone else been harassed by facebook this way, and since facebook lacks any type of customer service does anyone know of a way to contact someone to clear this up?

:wave: I had heard that FB was going thru the accounts and anyone with more than one was being blocked. This might be what happened to yours if you have more than one account as that is against their rules.

I too have an account just for contests (and no other Facebook account) with no friends. A couple of days ago I was blocked from using the Like function (I had just under 1,300).

Since then I have deleted about 400 and I am still waiting for the block to clear.

Very frustrating! :blob:

a few months ago i too was blocked and i only had 1 account which i used for sweeping.It was a nightmare getting this to get fixed finally there was a place for my phone number and it was unblocked as suddenly as it was blocked. kandy
