Lay's $100 Winner but didn't receive prize

Back in November, I was a $100 instant winner on their phone in sweeps (one winner per hour) After not receiving my prize, I called to find out why, and was told that they did not have record of my win. I gave them the date and time of my win, but they still could not confirm my win.

On another sweeps website, others have said they were told the same thing. Is there anyone who was told this and was able to get help receiving their prize?

Maybe there is a specific person who could help. I talked with a Lay's rep named Sarah. Any help would be appreciated!

This also happened to me. I even showed my text win by sending a picture. She said that screen shots were not excepted as per the rules. I even had the day and time of the win.
 
well I didn't win on that specific Lays promotion but on "Lays Passport to Flavor" which ended months ago- I had won a Kindle and its been over 10 weeks but nothing rec'd so I went to the Lays website and sent an email from their contact section regarding promotions. Not only did I receive a prompt response apologizing for the delay but the Kindle arrived just a few days later and also I rec'd some Lays coupons in a separate envelope the next day. So I was happy. You may want to try that? I went to this website and clicked on the button "contact us about a promotion"

kacor7 has good advice, and I would also tell them that once you won, per the rules you stopped playing. (I'm assuming it was one win per person. If I'm wrong, then this isn't a good argument.) But I would tell them, that once I won, I stopped playing, so got cheated out of another chance to win when the glitch was their fault. (I did hear that there was one particular hour when everyone who called got a winning message.) So it's worth a shot!
 
ddmobile - since you didn't post a winners thread to update w/this info, I won't move this thread out of the winners forum but in the future keep in mind that admin prefers *only* winners threads in the Sweepstakes Winners Circle forum & non winners threads will be moved to either General Sweepstakes Talk forum or Questions & Answers forum

I had won this, but did receive the check about 2 weeks ago. It looked like junk mail and could easily be missed.
 
I called them and was told there was no record of my phone number winning on that day and time. They said they would send me some free product coupons.

Same thing happened to me. I won on November 6th. I just went to their website and sent an email. I got a response the next day asking me to call their 800 number. I spoke with a promotion specialist (I forgot her name) but she said she would get in touch with their fulfillment dept and get back to me.
 
Just to update. Sarah just got back to me and said that my phone number was not on the winners list. That is such a bummer because I got the winning message and recorded my name and address. I wonder how many others won but couldn't be verified:,(
 
I was told the same thing after using their contact form that was posted earlier. It's pretty disappointing since I also got the win message and recorded my address. Seems like this sweepstakes was really messed up.

I am in the same boat with everyone else. I contacted them to be told I wasn't a potential or verified winner and they will send me product coups. I don't understand how we all weren't potential winners if we reached congratulations and recorded our information.

eowens18152 - What the page tells you doesn't matter - I have had games tell me I lost, only to get an email shortly after I played saying that I actually won.

So unless/until they contact you via email/mail/phone to affirm you have won, you are not considered a winner.

Sponsors know about this so the rules usually will contain boilerplate of some variation of this:

It came in the mail and wasn't in an envelope. It looked like when you get your W-2 with the tear off the sides. I got mine Dec 14.
