Back in 1981, I made a mistake and was charged with a drug felony.Since that time I have had no other problems and have not been involved with drugs for several decades but the record remains.I have noticed that many sweepstakes conduct background checks.I just wonder if I should even be entering sweepstakes at all with this incident in my past.I have been an upstanding model citizen since that time but these things tend to follow you for the remainder of your life.Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have no idea how far back they go on the background checks, but I would think that 31 years of respectability would trump something that happened so long ago. but that is just my personal opinion ... sorry I can't be of more help.
Agreed. I'd be proactive if I wanted to enter a sweeps that has that verbiage in their rules and contact them to be sure though.
