Lindt win again. Warning!

I got an email from Lindt again, that said I won $25.00 off of a purchase over $50.00 at redenvelope.com. So I go there and there is NOTHING $50.00. There are things for $49.99, but you don't want them. I found something for a birthday gift, went through the drill, and they didn't apply my code, so it took a phone call and a lot of time to get it resolved. Then they try to tempt you with this freeshipping.com thing. You get a 30 day trial, and so, I did it, and I reminded myself on gmail to cancel. When the new code comes in, I'll use it, but it does take time, and I have 30 days of free shipping, so I'll use that too.

This is a prize you have to work for!!

Still, it's sort of a win.
 
There are other websites that you can shop at, find what you want, then use the red envelope code to purchase. Personally, I like personalcreations.com. I have found the cutest things for my granddaughters from that site - personalized clothes, CDs (they sing the child's name that you supply), Christmas ornaments, easter baskets...if there are children in your life this site is priceless. There are many price ranges, including clearance. Find what you want, then insert the item #'s on the red envelope site and voila! It's in your cart. I think another sister site is Shari's Berries; there is at least one more I can't think of.

thanks, the info below is so helpful.. was new to red envelope after winning x2 at lindt (got a $25 off $50, and a $25 off any) discount but disappointed to see the items listed... did not know you could use other items from sites.. will probably do flowers - for ME! thanks for the help
 
I tired to use my Lindt win free $25 code at one of their other sites and it wouldn't let me. It also stated it wouldn't let me use the code on an item on sale at Red Envelope. Sheesh.
 
I had to call Red Envelope direct .. the code I had didn't work and I was told by an associate at Red Envelope the code expired at midnight (which I don't understand) but she was able to let me do my order over the phone and use my code to be applied to my order. I won the $25.00 off but I had to pay for shipping and tax which amounted to $14.38.
 
I have another code coming in a few days, so I'm going to try the other sites this time. :sunny: I want to order something before my 30 day freeshipping.com trial is up, so fingers crossed. Thanks for all your suggestions, everyone! :sunny:

Half off $50.00 is pretty good, but you can get 75% off on many retail web sites, and even at local stores, so, actually, I'd rather have Lindt ship me some chocolates!! :headbang:
 
Just to clarify, mitzel, you don't use the red envelope code at another site. You shop at the other site(s), find the item# of what you want, then go back to red envelope and paste the item # in the search box, and you will see that same item come up. If its on sale or clearance, you see that sale or clearance price. If you owe any money after you place your order, it will be to red envelope - even if you picked all your items off another site. :sunny:
