My hubby is a brat

We were in town today paying some bills (phone and internet for one!) and we went to Walmart to get me a phone card for my cell phone and while walking past some beautiful inside rose bushes I told him I wanted one. Well, here is how it went down.

Me- "Those are so pretty, I want one of those and they are only $3.50 now"

Hubby- "You would just kill it"

Me- *grunt* "That was not very nice!"

Hubby- "You always kill plants, you even told a lady at lowes when she asked you about a plant that you have a brown thumb"

Me- "Sooooo! I still want one, I might be able to keep this one alive"

It went on and on so needless to say, I didn't get a bush. This man will not buy flowers for nothing! It is like pulling teeth, I don't know what it is about them. He says that buying flowers is a waste of money because, they are only pretty for a couple days and then die. I told him this evening when he gave me $20 "Fine, I will go and buy the rose bush myself and prove to you that I can keep it alive!". Well, I still don't have my bush LOL. We had to return to walmart tonight for a pair of shoes since he has a funeral tomorrow and I forgot to buy it.

Im sorry. ya know some people cant grow things. Im one of those. I had a neighbor give me this really pretty flower one time and of course I killed it. She came in,saw it, and went ahhhhhhh!!!! give it back to me. :laughing: she took it home and brought it back somehow. as for buying flowers I have to agree with your husband. sorry. my husband knows, after 15 yrs he better, not to buy me flowers. Ive said it before but someone giving me flowers for my birthday or whatever bothers me. I dont like the idea of getting something that is dying. go ahead, give me a sick puppy and say here, enjoy it for the next 3-5 days. same thing to me.

If you really like them though your husband should get them for ya. I hope ya get the rose bush and keep it alive. :laughing:
