My snow day

My day started at barely after 6am. We went for a ride and then when we came home the we all played a little, more walked around the yard and the kids rubbed hands in the snow. Then, we decided to go inside where I made pancakes and homemade strawberry sauce I made with frozen strawberries and sausage patties. After breakfast? We had fun playing in the snow and went for another drive so that I could take more pics! Too bad it's almost all melted now

Nothing like waking up to something this magical.

Anyhoo, here are some pics of what I woke up to today and of course my kids' snowman, lol.

I have to go and upload all 50 pictures I took today on myspace, lol. Thanks for letting me share.

What was really, really sad is we seen a deceased horse in a corral I don't understand why people don't take pets into shelters during this type of weather.

You must not live where you get a lot of snow. I live on the border of WI/MN and I'd rarely call snow magical. I do enjoy it at times but I'm not into any outdoor winter activities so the winter get's long.

I'm glad your kids had a fun day and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I wish I got snow days from work!
 
We are in Mississippi and I am from California (up until mid august of 06). We never had snow there either. I love snow! I worked at a ski resort doing physical work in the snow before I met my husband and really enjoyed living there.
