New Hearst Magazine GiveAways

I'm just curious about ALL the Hearst magazine give aways, Have they ever printed the winners for the 2008 amount of $250,000.00 per magazine? Seems to me they're giving an awful alot away at a time like this or are they?

after 2 1/2 years of entering all their sweeps, I've never seen a winners list, or heard of anyone winning anything other than maybe a watch.

It's not 'per magazine' either. It's one winner out of all their magazines. ("Creative presentations")

I just deleted all of their sweeps from my list this week. Seems all they do is keep extending the ending date over and over again.

It's become a waste of my time.

I do remember someone reporting that they had won one of the smaller Hearst prizes last year. As for the current batch of sweeps, one day it was last year's promo, the next it switched to the current Monthly version. What they do probably makes sense within their organization, but it's kind of jarring to us sweepers. And as a previous poster pointed out, we're talking about a Creative Presentation. For those of you who aren't familiar with that type of sweeps, it means that there are various entry points to the same contest. You can enter through each separate entry form, but all entry points link to the same prize. As exciting as their jackpot is, there's only one overall winner, not one winner from each magazine.

Yes I too would love to see someone from SA to win! But what I'm talking about was not the current promotion of $100,000.00, but last years win of $250,000.00? I mean thats an awful alot of money, not to do a story & post pictures of the winner!

Its not much, but I did win an autographed HSM poster from a Hearst giveaway. Granted, the ARV was only $5.

But if yu enter from all the mags it increases yur odds, right?

Your odds are exactly the same as if it were only one sweepstakes if you enter each and every one of them and everyone else does the same; but, because some people don't want to be bothered, your odds would be even better if you enter each and every one of them and some don't.

I like their sweepstakes; and their forms load, fill out, and submit in about three seconds.

I did see someone post somewhere winning one of these sweepstakes.

Like many other sweepstakes, you have to send for a winner's list:

"Winner’s List: For winner’s name, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope to 'The Dare to Dream Sweepstakes', 300 W. 57th Street, 19th Floor, New York, NY 10019 by February 29, 2009."

my $10,000 Thomasville furniture win was from Hearst Publications over a year ago. So, yeah I kinda love them hha (see my web site for pictures of that win, if you like...)

I'm not doubting anyone winning anything from the magazines, in fact Ivé won a few small items as well! I just have a sneaky suspicion that they never gave out any of the money in the past, such as last years $250,000.00 I'm trying to justify for myself not only are there many that enter, but what are my chances? Especially if no money was given out last year, after entering so many times through different presentations last year.

This is not only a legitimate sponsor, a major one at that. There are laws in place governing the running of sweepstakes. If they were to run a bogus sweepstakes, which they're not, they would have major legal problems with many laws broken. A major company like this would not risk the ruin of a company doing something so irresponsible.

There are bogus sweepstakes out there like PrizeAgency.com, which is just a phishing site, but they're no known company, sponsor, or agency.
