Oh crap! I clicked on the "smite" and I guess that takes it away. Sorry to 2 people I clicked the smite on. I didn't know what it was and was trying to figure it all out as I was viewing different threads.

I guess I better not click on nothing else! At least until I am sure I know what it does!

No worries. I smited ll1 at first. I figured if I was trying something out and he suffered for it, all the better! LOL So, it's true, ok! But I clicked on applaud twice to make up for it. I did feel bad for like a half a second! If it was Chocolate Sweepstakes & Giveaways, it would have been smite all the way!!!!

I'm using this for a while now, and it's fantastic! No problems, and it looks so nice. Congratz on your successful upgrade, and for being a benevolent webmaster. This site is tops. :wave:

We have over 300 smileys that I am looking at for the forum. I might need the assistance of a mod to decide which ones we will use. We will probably add approx 25 to 50. You can browse them here:

This EXACT thing happened to me. I took a screen shot to post for help but i noticed i couldn't post! lol
Anyway, i fixed it by deleting my cookies/files/history/all thosse things in internet options. Then I logged off my account, then went back on. And as you can see, I can post :D

Here is what it looked like to us before we fixed it:

I love it. It will take some getting used to but I like it much better. I like the kermit smiley. how cute. are we gunna be able to keep our siggy. I cant seem to get mine to show up.
 
If you click "Profile" and then "Forum Profile Information", scroll all the way to the bottom to change your signature.

Glad everyone is working things out. I am still learning the new admin settings myself. :)
 
OK, I just added a bunch of new emoticons. You can click "more" too see additional ones when posting.
We also added a Simpsons Avatar pack similar to what we had on the old forum. Go to Profile to check those out.

If we find some more fun ones we'll ad them too. :hiding:
 
Was just wondering why the posts no longer show how long people have been members of SA, or where they are from?? I have been around a few years, and liked seeing the older members posts, and when new people were joining. Also the many areas people were from, when they wanted to share that info. :sunny: Snowy Northwoods vs Sunny Florida Etc.
 
This is an entirely new forum. I might be able to add that info. Let me look into it. :)
 
It looks like the new forum has all the time stamps set at GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). To switch the time stamp to your time zone, go into your Profile. Under "Modify Profile", click on "Look and Layout Preferences". Under "Time Offset", click on "auto detect" and the system will change itself to display your local time.
 
you did a BEAUTIFUL job!! amazing improvements!! I love the marquee!

1 thing my sig line is not working? I just went in and changed it for my latest vote request but it's not showing. any advice ? thankyou :wave:

before posting select additional options which is located @ the left middle of the page and check show signature, looks like you have to do that after every post?
