non horror movies anyone?

:sunny: I watched The Bucket List with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. It was wonderful. I'm like the rest of you, I could listen to Morgan read a dictionary and find it soothing.
I saw Mad Money a few weeks ago and thought it was really bad.

Watched Wanted today... woohoo! :headbang: I loved this movie. great action. really cool CGI. And the acting was pretty good also. Jolie was great( like always).. I was a little disappointed with Freeman.. Not with his acting so much but the movie didn't really allow for any kind of connection with him. That's the only way I can describe it.

If you read the comic and are expecting something similar.. your gonna be disappointed. If you go into thinking its just another Action flick you will be alright. Yes its over the top but I like that in a movie. Who wants ordinary? definitely check it out.

Wanted~A~

Any Tyler Perry fans here? I am one and own 3 movies and about 5 plays of his. Anyways, one of the movies I just received last night from a trade on another board. It's a movie I have wanted since it came out.

Why did I get married? Has anyone seen it? Such a good movie, I felt so bad for the lady Sheila because, I felt her pain...I've been there so I know the pain she was feeling and almost cried myself! Tonight was the first time watching this movie. I tend to feel more emotions the first time watching the movie since I don't know what's coming.

I'm not sure if anyone is into this type of stuff but, Tyler Perry is awesome and all of his movies/plays have a lot of meaning to them. Check him out sometime.

Hancock~A+~~ The best movie I have seen this year. Better than Iron man, The Hulk and wanted. Its a great movie.. Lots of Action, Its funny and its got a really nice story. I loved it.

13 game sayawng~C+~ This is classified as a thriller but could be horror too I think. Its subtitled.

Its about a guy who is having financial problems and gets a strange phone call that offers him 100 million $ if he completes 13 challenges. Sounds easy huh? :nono:

Its a little slow the first 20 minutes or so but its just trying to show his financial state and how desperate he is. After that it picks up and is... very interesting.. I have to say that if you have a weak stomach you might want to pass. Even if you don't have a weak stomach I wouldn't eat anything before watching. Challenge 5 made me almost throw up.. not kidding. Just thinking about it now I'm getting queasy. The rest of the challenges arent that bad though.

If you like unusual movies.. especially if you like foreign movies( I do).. you should check it out...

Once again I gotta say... Do not watch if you have a weak stomach and do not eat anything right before watching.. just in case.

Hellboy 2~C~ just got back from watching this and I gotta say I was a little disappointed. Visually its very good. Some really cool looking characters... Thats about it though. Its like the plot was secondary. It was just this thing kinda going on in the background. The focus 100% is the characters, not the story. :nono: And its a little longer than what it should have been. Shaving twenty minutes off would not have hurt it at all.

anyone seen the dark knight yet? Im going to the drive in tonight to see it. :headbang: woohoo.. been waiting for soooo long for this. I hope its as good as the reviews say. what am I saying.. of course it will be.. christian bale is in it.

May contain spoilers...
Bone eater~ F if you are looking for serious, C if you just want to have a laugh at a stupid movie.

What can I say about bone eater  It had me and the kids cracking up. omg! it has some of the worse acting and dialogue. The story is stupid, The so called effects look like something a 10 yr old did on his computer, and It has bruce boxleitner, william katt (member him), Gil Gerard and Veronica Hamel in it.. Its an eighties reunion.

The "story" is about an ancient Indian burial ground that gets disturbed by workers and wakes this... huge, skeleton guy  oh, I almost forgot the skeleton guy somehow has a horse that just shows up..its like a ghost horse or something.... Its hilarious.

The guy that owns the company doing the work is supposed to be like this millionaire who is spending 110 million dollars on this project.. he is being chauffeured around in a Lincoln town car. I dont have anything against town cars but I would think that someone worth that kind of money would buy something a little more flashy. I will be looking to add this to my stupid movie collection for sure.

I watched Wall-E today. Cute little guy had me in stitches and a little teary eyed. Definitely one of Pixar's best creations. There's not a lot of dialogue as most of the action takes place between robots but I think that adds to the magic of this movie. I'm adding this to my collection as soon as it comes out.

yeah its a really cute movie. I really liked the beginning with wall-e by himself.. once eva gets there Its still cute but after they leave it gets a little boring for me. The last half hour just dragged. I would still give the movie an A though. I love pixar movies..Monsters Inc though is my absolute favorite pixar movie. I never get tired of watching it.

Doomsday~FFFFFFFFFFFFF~ Once again, I want my 1.00 back. What a piece of crap. I know ideas are getting a little thin in Hollywood but come on, This movie rips off several including all 3 mad max movies. The only good thing was watching and figuring out which movie they stole the idea from. They should be ashamed of themselves. :nono:

Felon~A~ I think one of the most realistic looks at the prison system. It has stephen dorff in it but dont let that stop you from seeing it. He is very good in it. It also has Val Kilmer. Kilmers performance is great.

Its about a family man who ends up in prison after one stupid mistake. A mistake I might add that anyone could make. He's not some hardened criminal. He is just a hard working guy trying to make a life for his family. once in prison He has to become one of them just to survive. He is trying to hold onto his family while doing what he has to in prison. The scenes between him and his girlfriend are some of the best. Its sad. definitely check it out.

Dead End~ D ~ Family takes wrong turn and bad things start to happen. :sleepy: Its supposed to be a comedy, horror, and thriller mix... It was none of those.. It was slow moving and predictable. Nothing original here. It had a couple of kinda creepy moments but nothing to justify recommending it or watching it again.

Botched~ D ~ supposed to be horror/ comedy.. but wasn't. kinda like the last movie dead end.. wasn't scary or funny.. could have maybe been funny.. some of the lines would have been hilarious if given by one of the other actors, the guy with the funniest lines had an odd way of delivering them that just fell flat.. that and he wasn't likable. I'm not going to laugh at someone that's not likable.

I need to find a good movie.. I really have scraped the bottom of the barrel lately.

Its going to be another weekend of movie watching I see. yesterday I watched some of the movies I have but haven't watched in awhile.

Crash~ A ~ This is such a great movie. Its about 2 days in the lives of several different characters. their stories all intertwine. It shows how subtle and not so subtle racism can be and how people who think they wouldn't be capable of it are. It has great performances by Don Cheadle, Matt dillon, Terrence Howard and even Ludacris. Sandra Bullock is in this also and I really don't like her but she was good in this. Definitely check it. You wont be disappointed.

A Simple Plan~ A ~ 3 guys find a plane filled with money. They hatch a plan to keep it. should be simple right? wrong. It might sound like a simple premise and maybe even a been there seen that before kinda movie but it isn't. From beginning to end it is sooo good. The performances are great especially by Billy Bob Thornton. It shows how things can spin out of control so easily and how people are capable of things they never dreamed of. Also, Its beautifully shot. It makes me want winter to hurry up and get here every single time I watch it. Like crash definitely check it out you wont be disappointed.

ETA~~ Both of these movies are real downers so if you want a happy movie dont watch.

I watched Speed Racer today after swearing I never would. From everything I saw on the internet and TV it looked like it was going to be some campy, cartoony, CGI heavy tour de force of Hollywood eyecandy and fluff. And it was. But ya know what? I LIKED IT! I almost shut it off about 5 minutes in but decided to press on. Once I got past all the bright colors and CGI and gave in to my Saturday morning inner child, this movie got really fun to watch. Now I'm disappointed that I didn't see it on the big screen.

you sure it wasnt just the flashing lights and bright colors that held your attention? ya know, kinda put you in a trance. where is a drooling smiley when ya need it. Im just kidding. I havent watched it but maybe I will now.

ok I watched it. ya know I cant resist any movie that you like. And I hate to say it.. It was better than I thought it would be. It was a little cheesy in parts to me but overall it was worth watching. Im suprised it didnt do better in the theater. They lost soooo much money on this movie. I liked it though.

Yeah...Speed Racer is an acquired taste but I'm pretty glad I gave it a chance. The cheese factor is laid on thick but it added to the whole feel of the movie for me. Now....I wish I could say the same for The Mummy 3.

Babylon A.D. - The new Vin Diesel flick. Another brooding tough guy role for ol' Vin. It's set in the future and he plays a smuggler hired to transport a girl from Asia to the US. Lots of nifty effects but the storyline is mediocre and the ending is less than that. Also stars Michelle Yeoh. This one is a renter at the most.
