Piece of Heaven on Earth

I tell you what the weather has been so wonderfull here in Houston the last few days so if this is a taste of heaven on earth I say I can't wait.
 
That's how I felt last week, Cin! 3 nice days back to back and then this week has been breezy but lovely as well.

Right now it is 40ish but supposed to be 66. Granted, not a heat wave but so nice! I like sitting outside on the deck and watching the boys and niece play :love:
 
I felt this way before the last storm because, it was beautiful out and so warm. The storm brought in a cold front and it's very slowly making it's way out of here. Today it's breezy but, the sun is out. Yesterday, it was sunny but, still a little chilly. We did spend a lot of time outside though. It's suppose to get back into the 70's and 80's by the end of the week. However, it's suppose to rain again Friday.
 
Beautiful here as well...it was mid-70's and breezy and blue! I wish it would stay just like this ~ it was perfect ~ as long as you aren't swimming!!
 
Had to bump this thread because once again our weather is amazing! I too now have all of my windows open and the fresh air feels so good.

It's going to be in the 70s and I am dreading putting on shorts. I did last week just to bum in around the house but the legs are white and someone stole my thighs and replaced them with elephant legs! What's next...cankles??" :cry:

I have my sheets on the line. Joe Dirt would be proud :laughing:

Towels are on there now. I hang up everything but panties and underwear. I have this deep-rooted fear that some sicko will drive by and see either my panties, niece's panties, or the boys' underwear and get some psycho ideas.

Cin believes Heaven is beautiful weather. That's beautiful...

and then of course, the thread goes into... well.. hmmm..

Instead of streets paved of gold, Wolfie's heaven is like Willie Wonka World.. everything made of chocolate.:laughing:

completelyme probably hopes that heaven has maid service and everything hangs it self up. 'm going to ignore the thong comment :whistle: :laughing:

I'm a Buddhist and the way I'm going, nirvana will take another few hundred years. :whistle:

Guess that just goes to show heaven or whatever you call it is different for everyone. :laughing: How bout maids wearing thongs eating chocolate on a beautiful day.

But just so you know I hate maids. I have never had one but I prefer to do my own housecleaning. Unless of course you'd like to come clean my house in one of those foo foo french maid outfits :laughing:
 
I need a maid ~lol!! I would kill her though...my house is a wreck!!

I have three maids who come 4 days a week. The oldest was my parents maid and it's now her two daughters. SHe can't do much but I still pay her every week. Most times now, she sits and just talks with me and my husband.

And by the way, they do laundry and windows. :headbang:

Many Asians have maids in HK and Thailand. But they are called 'house servants' and it doesn't bother the people. In Thailand, my grandfather has 17. They are all from Cambodia. In HK, my other grandparents have 11. They are all from the Philippians. It's very common to have servants, even middle class folks have them.
 
Funny you mentioned the house servants. My mom went to visit her best friend in Malaysia about 5 years ago. Upon arriving at the house, the servant tried to take her bags. My mom was totally confused LOL Later, they tried making her something to eat. Again, she was wondering why these strange people she didn't know were waiting on her hand and foot(Lina hadn't arrived yet to greet mother).

The best part was when she was being shown to her room, mother saw bars on the windows in some of the bedrooms. She's becoming more anxious by the minute :laughing: Lina gets home and mother asks who the strange people are that have been waiting on her and why are there bars on the bedroom windows. Lina explained to her that they are servants and that they have a habit of sneaking out of their window at night, never to return :laughing:

Mother did not sleep well because of the time change so she'd get up very early in the morning and the servants would already be awake, cleaning. She said she'd try to make chatter with them but they either didn't understand or weren't interested. She felt sorry for them.
