"Potential" Smuckers Win

I received an affidavit by email today from Rodale and Smuckers asking that I fill it out and return it for a "potential" win. Has anyone had to fill out an affidavit before they actually were notified of the win? "I am submitting this affidavit to Rodale Inc., with the understanding that it will be relied upon to determine whether I am entitled to receive the prize for which my entry has been selected in the "Smuckers Sweepstakes" sponsored by "Prevention.com". Sounds like I might have really won something. Also, I could not open their link to the official rules and I can't find the smuckers sweepstakes. Can anyone supply that link? Thanks!

Congrats!

The "potential winner" wording is common boilerplate legal sweepstakes jargon, basically they're telling you that you've been selected, and as long as everything checks out (you meet the eligibility requirements, you get the paperwork back to them within the allotted time, you dot your i's and cross your t's, etc) then you'll be confirmed as the winner and receive the prize.

It gives both them and you a way to back out gracefully if needed.

There were quite a few Smuckers sweeps recently, this one looks like it might be it - you might be a second chance winner based on the end date being 2 months ago...

Rodale does administer the sweeps for Prevention. I found this sweeps, but the winners should have been notified weeks ago. Maybe you were drawn in a second chance drawing for it.

Did you enter this one? If you did, then Congrats! Searched expired sweeps for Prevention.com to get this.

Re: "Potential" Smuckers Win

I also won this, 1 of 5 winners. I sent off the paper work this am. I received the notice by e-mail with the affy attached. There may have been some problem contacting you by e-mail. They (Prevention) are very responsive as I had a problem opening the attachments and they re-sent them immediately. Enjoy your win, I know my family will,

 vonniejane1 CONGRATS!!! :headbang:  :headbang:  :headbang:

This is where MY SWEEPSTAKES really comes in handy - the 1st thing I would have done would have been to search my expired to figure out which sweeps it was, and to make sure I DID enter it.

Once I'd found it {as BETHTOONS did} then I'd fill out the affy and get it back to them ASAP!

As noted, you are NOT a winner until they confirm you, after the affy is accepted.
