potential trip win, but can't take it?

Hello,
I need some advice. I just received an affidavit in the mail today, I'm the potential grand prize winner from Showtime Game On Sweepstakes. It is for a trip for 2 to visit the set of one of Showtime's original series.
Needless to say, I was ecstatic. But as a self employed mother of 3, I just don't see how I'll be able to get away, therefore, I don't think I can accept the prize.
Do you think they would offer any form of a substitution?
HELP!

Thank you for any response!!

Good luck to all, and thank you SA

People usually pay big bucks to escape from their children for a weekend (or for much longer usually). And here somebody is offering to do it for you for FREE!

Live life on the edge! Go for it! Slam the lid on the diaper pail and declare your independence! The Rugrats won't miss ya!!!

:crazytongue: :crazytongue: :crazytongue:

or if you "can't" ... ask them for a year's subscription to Showtime for free.

( I hate that "can't" word ... there is no such thing as "can't"! :nono: )

Congrats! I've been trying for a trip win. I would call them (hopefully they sent you a number to call) and explain the situation to them, maybe they will work something out for you. Good luck!

Thank you for the great advice! Yes, I'm sure the rugrats would get along just fine, (I've never vacationed without them).

This is my largest win to date, and I think I'm still in shock.

:sunny: Congratulations on your win! If you haven't already, maybe double check the rules and see if it indicates if there is any alternative prize. Sometimes the rules will indicate if there is another prize option. If not, I would definately ask then. It couldn't hurt. Good Luck!

I know the feeling ~ had a similar issue happen to me. I explained my situation to them and they offered me a runner up prize instead. I hope things work out! Congrats on the win though!

I just want to hear about:

  • [li] How her trip went![/li]
[li] How much fun she had![/li]
[li] All the juicy facts from "girls night out" at Planet Hollywood![/li]
[li] How she got lucky and met a RICH, YOUNG, SINGLE actor![/li]
[li] And how she didn't have to bail any of the rugrats outta jail when she got back![/li]

It would make for good reading ... wouldn't it????

.... AND how she doesn't believe in the word "can't" anymore either!

Looking forward to those posts, jojomommy!  :crazytongue:  Don't disappoint me now!  LOL
