Prayer Of The Day

In posting scripture yesterday it was to lead up to saying a prayer for our new President. Today we have a new leadership team and as a Christian we are asked to pray for our leaders. I pray that as Mr. Barak Husein Obama is sworn in today and begins his Presidency that he will seek the Lord for guidance. He professes to be Christian so I believe he has the same Bible I have and he would hopefully read it for all of the wonderful teachings inside.

Father I lift up this man to you and ask that you guide his footsteps. Wherever he is not obeying your words I ask that you would reveal it to him. Give him the wisdom of Solomon and let him rule wisely. Let him draw near to you Lord and let him seek your face. I pray that he will be a leader of the people and for the people. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

Lord I pray for our country. I know we are in difficult times and it is only by your grace that we will overcome our trials. If we turn our back on you then we are not under your protection. I pray that we will humble ourselves turn away from sin and seek your face to heal us. Who can say when you will return but if we do not follow you we are lost. I will continue to trust in you and pray for this nation to see our mistakes and return to you Amen.

This is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it. He is worthy of all praise and he rules all. I gaze into the heavens and I am in awe of what God has done. Each star that we see is a galaxy. The vastness of it all is overwhelming and yet everything is perfectly placed. Only a great and marvelous God could do such a thing. He deserves all that we can offer him. But with all his wondrous works he has made a way for us to come before his throne and bring all of our cares to him. There was a day when his people Israel were asked to offer sacrifices to him but now through Christ's death and resurrection he has made a way for all of us to enter in the holy of hollies. Only the high priest was able to enter that sacred part of the temple and speak on behalf of the sins of the people. Not any more. We have access and we can confess our sins before a loving Father. Amen and Amen.

Times are tough all around us and I honestly have to say I do not see it getting any better. We as Christians need to be about our task of preaching the gospel. We are in this world but not of it. My home is in heaven and right now I am just here to be witnessing to others about Jesus and the message of salvation. When we read and study our bible we know what the future has in store so if you have not studied please take the time to do so and know that the only peace will come when Christ returns to claim what is his. If you are not sure that what the bible says is real then do some research and read history throughout the ages. The bible is accurate. God has a plan for all of mankind so I pray that all men would be saved.

Jesus has overcome death and the grave. He has paid the price and now we have a future with him as long as you are willing to accept it. Bless the name of the most high God. Look up for our redemption draws near.

Let us have hope in Jesus. He is the only answer to our problems. By placing our hope in him we have a chance to be at peace no matter what comes our way. He has never said we would not face trials and tribulations but he promises to be with us. I like many others have faced hardship but I put my faith in Jesus and he has never let me down. I am the only one who can let me down. If you are facing a mountain speak to that mountain and tell it to move. Things have a way of working out with Jesus by your side. He will carry us when we are too week to stand. Thank you blessed Father.

Lord give me strength and peace of mind. Sometimes we are feeling week and like we just can't tackle life's challenges but when this happens just remember Lord give me strength. He will be there no matter what comes your way.

I just finished watching the movie Fireproof and I have to say it was a wonderful movie. I will post tomorrow more about it but just to say that it is about saving relationships and a little thing called the love dare. This message in the movie is a blessing to anyone who wants to have a covenant and not just a marriage.

God bless.

I really enjoyed messages that were talked about in the movie and that if we put the love dare to work I really do think it would make a difference. The point of the movie is that we can be very selfish and it's always me me me. Sometimes we need to put Christ first and let him show us how to treat our spouses. There were several times in the movie I had tears in my eyes because of the realization Kirk Cameron had about Christ.

That is one wonderful movie, and the points it makes are great. I wish they would show more things like it on tv and all over for people to see and learn. thank you for posting it.

You're welcome and I even picked up on something for myself last night in prayer. In order for us to love we must first know love. That love has to come from Jesus otherwise we can't understand his type of love. If it's a worldly love then we tend to put conditions on it and people have to live up to our standards and not God's. Love just like everything else we do is a choice. We don't love because someone does something for us but because we just make the choice to love no matter what. I think the only way we can make that choice is through Jesus Christ.

Just in case anyone is interested in taking the Love Dare here is a link.

Day 1: Love is patient

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

—Ephesians 4:2 NIV

TODAY’S DARE

The first part of this dare is fairly simple. Although love is communicated in a number of ways, our words often reflect the condition of our heart. For the next day, resolve to demonstrate patience and to say nothing negative to your spouse at all. If the temptation arises, choose not to say anything. It’s better to hold your tongue than to say something you’ll regret.

I wasn't planing to post them all so if you are interested check out the site or you can buy the book.

Jeremiah 1:5 (New International Version)

5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew [a] you,

Isn't that a wonderful passage. He knows us and he knew we would accept him. I really love reading scripture. There is no other book that has sold so many copies and there is no other book that is as accurate as the Bible. He knew me before I was even formed and he has called me to do his will. I feel so blessed to be able to share Christ with anyone. It is my greatest joy to let the world know who he is and that he cares for all of us. Some day soon I will be with him in heaven and I will kneel before him to thank him and worship him. And if I am honored enough I will be casting crowms at his feet. Praise God for he alone is worthy of all praise Amen.

I pray that all is well with your soul. I think we just have to get that deep down sense of all is well with my soul no matter what goes on around us. It's a sense of peace knowing God has got it all under control and he's got our backs. Sometimes all it takes is one simple statement like all is well with my soul to bring us to a place of calmness in our lives. Search the scriptures and find that one or perhaps many statements that will give you peace.

Father I ask that you would be in the midst of the storm for those families who are dealing with the aftermath of the ice storms. So many are having a hard time right now with not having the every day necessities of life. I pray you will see them through this dificult time and that they will get the support they need. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

Today is just a day for me to count my blessings. I can always find a blessing in my life and I'm sure we all can. I have learned to be content in any situation because I can give it all to Jesus.

Always thank him he deserves it. If anyone is ever feeling stresses and they believe in the power of prayer please don't hesitate to ask me to pray with you. We are all part of the same family. We are sisters and brothers and prayer works.

Today's Verse:
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Amen he gave all that we might have all with him in heaven and eternity. I can not express the words to say how beautiful he is to me. There is no greater love then a man lays down his life for us. He gave it freely so that we might be saved. Praise God

16For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([d]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

That's as simple as it gets. Please heed the message.
