Hey guys
Anyone having problems with the philly cream cheese iw coupons?

I went to Walmart today, and had trouble with the Thomas bagel coupon

It said Save $4 on Thomas Large, or mini bagels. So I go and get the big bagels, the lady says, No it doesn't say large on the package. So then I go get the mini bagels. And she said the bagels don't cost $4. WEll to make a long story short, she gives me to packages of the mini bagels, and I pay the difference. $1.95
Hmmmm the cream cheese was fine, I had no problem with that.
So how do I deal with this bagel thing, so next time it works out better. I really don't like the mini bagels, they are too little, and get stuck in the toaster.

Yea the sad thing is, she even went and talked to the manager. I guess because I came around lunch time, everyone was ready for thier break?? :crazytongue:

sorry tiff but I just love reading about your little misadventures. darn bagel thing.

So much for my suggestion! Reminds me of the time I went to use coupons for free products, yet the cashier told me I had to pay tax and some other fee!! Excuse me, how do you figure the tax on zero? Manager took care of it for me thank goodness.

I seem to always have problems using free product coupons at walmart. Sorry you had issues with them, I haven't tried using mine yet.

I did not have a problem with the bagel or cream cheese coupons at the market where I shop.
I also used free coupons at Wal-Mart and never had a problem with them. The problem evidently
lies with the the cashiers who are not familiar with free coupons.

I haven't tried to use ours yet, but past experience prepares me for anything!!! :nono:

I once had a cashier refuse to honor a cents off coupon - actually, I had 3 similar ones for the same products - she read the fine print to read that I couldn't use more than 1 coupon {even though I was buying the right amount of products for each one} rather than how it's intended - to prevent people to use a coupon on more than stated amount of items. :crazytongue:

So she argued with me and I had to get the manager to explain it - she was later promoted, and I stopped shopping there :nono:

I understand they are leery because of all the fraud, but these were 30 cents off 3 boxes of Kleenex!!!

yeah, they are very funny about coupon/cents off. I once had 2 (1.00 off coupons on 1 item). so, I bought 2 items. and I intended to use one coupon towards each item, she said "no" use can't use more than 1 of the coupons, boy did I argue that case. and I lost.

I also had a problem with my free bagel coupon. :crazytongue: I just thought it was because the coupons were so "shiny" for lack of a better word LOL. Anyway the cashier just took $4.00 off for the coupon. HMMM I think the next one I redeem I will try to get in her lane.

Sadly I did not win this even though I played every day. But every time I take a free product coupon into walmart one of the older lady cashiers eye bal it and me before even trying to scan it. Like I am counterfiting them.

I think the reason that they look over the coupons so closely is because if they goof up it comes out of their pocket so I can understand. Yet it is so frustrating when you know from lots of experience that the coupon you are using is valid for what you are purchasing. I try to remember who I have had trouble with and go to another cashier. Also, I have found that going when they are really busy is also helpful because they are in a hurry. I wish that the manufacturers could figure out a way to have the coupons printed so that they are better understood by the cashiers AND customers.
