Random vs judged

Are sweepstakes required to state how the winners will be chosen? (i.e. winners will be chosen randomly or judged)

I have noticed that a lot of pinerest sweeps (and yes, I know y'all are probably tired of hearing me ask about pinterest ) don't state if the winner will be chosen randomly or by judge. There have been a few I entered where it did not state in the rules whether the winner would be chosen randomly or judged, I assumed it was random, but then when the winner was chosen, they stated that the winning boards were judged for certain criteria.

Ohhhhhhh, I didn't even think about that aspect, now I know I'll stay away from them! :crazytongue:

If they do judge, they'll usually indicate it with verbiage - I'd look for CONTEST if it doesn't state JUDGED.
