If you put it in a bubble mailer, probably first class is cheapest. Otherwise ship media mail. I'd say put it in a bubble mailer, take to the USPS, and ask if first class or media is cheapest. Some places can hassle about media mail (depends on your post office) cause they think people are cheating, but my normal PO knows me pretty well.
 
I agree with Annie, go through the post office and make sure it is wrapped well in bubble wrap or a mailer (bubble wrap). I notice first class is only a few cents more give or take than media mail.
