COMMENTING when you VOTE - please read and heed;
Re: **PLEASE refrain from posting VOTE REQUESTS to a contest comments section.**
VOTERS - the default is NO comments, just vote unless you are asked to comment.
If you are asking for votes and you DO want comments? Put it in your OP so voters will know.
If you have a 1x ask, keep track of who RTF's, so when you RTF, you don't include your C&P for those who already voted for you and then they won't keep posting they voted for your 1x.
Re: **PLEASE refrain from posting VOTE REQUESTS to a contest comments section.**
:wave: Hey all. I hope this was OK to post. After having this happen a lot over time (and seeing it come around again) I thought I would leave you a little info to help protect your (and your fellow sweepers) contests for the future.
It's not really a good idea to post vote requests, asking for an "RTF", or "Now you return my vote." or your contest link, or language of that sort on the COMMENTS section of the contest you are voting on.
If you want to comment, please do so in a way that will help the contester. Something like "What a great video!" "So cute, hope you win!" "Came back to vote! Good luck!" works great.
Sometimes judges/admins of the contests will have their eyes out for "cheaters" of which some consider vote exchange groups, not unlike our own!
Other entrants will naturally look for any way to win and point out these comments to anyone that will listen as evidence of "cheating". Once a sponsor starts to get berated with complaints they many times will disqualify the entry.
So, moral of the story is, 1) If you don't want comments on your entry, say so clearly in your post (I forget that A LOT), and 2) Please understand that a "vote exchange" isn't always looked at as a good thing, and do not post this type of request on the contest page itself.
Thank you everyone for all your votes and best of luck in your contests!!![]()
