why am I seeing so many offers for the restaurant.com codes being given away?

I have 2 win codes also but wonder if there is some sort of gimick or scam to use them? Like u need to spend a certain amt. of money etc...? thanks for any info... :sunny:

i use restaurant.com all the time, and they are awesome! yes they do have rules and spending limits on all their gift cards, but it still saves you alot of money.usually you'll have to spend 50 to use the 25 or 100 to use the 50,but every restaurant is a little different.i can usually find them on sale for 2 or 3 dollars for the 25 dollar ones so i"m still saving 20 bucks on a family dinner out, which is gonna cost us way more than 50 bucks anyway.i think the people that are giving away codes don't have restaurants in their area that participate.we only have 5 or 6 local places here on the list, but we use them when we travel, especially to las vegas

I agree. Restaurant.com is awesome. We've been using them for years, and have saved so much money using them when dining out. You can only use one per restaurant per month, but you just mix it up a bit. :)

Also, when you buy them you can get another 50% to 80% off the price with a coupon code they email to their subscribers.

There are so many programs and offers on the internet to save money, get money back, and get freebies/merchandise, but I suspect many people aren't even aware of them.

I don't know about everyone else, but there are only 2 restaurants within 30 miles of me that use restaurant.com certificates so maybe that's why so many are up for grabs.

The nearest place for me to redeem the code I won, is 75 miles away in another state. So I've posted to give my code away to someone who can actually use it.

they are very nice if you have a restartent around you that uses them, I live in a very rural area and no place around accepts them, so that is why offer them, if there was somewhere that acceptted mine I would use them for sure.

It's also a good idea to check their restaurant listing for the local area, because there are always some new ones that show up; and, sometimes, some that no longer participate. We live in a rural area and have some around here on it, but we do go out and about quite often; so, we also use some for restaurants between here at the east end of Long Island and New York City.

thank you for all the info. Since I am in the heart of san diego... 4 miles to downtown I would imagine there are at least a few of the restaurants available in this area. Hope I can combine my 2 codes and if there are any more free ones... well I shall take a look see. Thanks again.
