Roboform thread

I've never done that. It really sounds like you're wasting alot of time doing it that way. I just open up four windows and go back and forth clicking away. If it's a really fast submitting sweepstakes like Classic Heartland, Woman's Day, etc., I just stay in the same window and click, click, click right through them. I'm already clicking on the next one by the time the last one submits. I really think you're trying to use Roboform for doing something it's not meant to do for entering sweepstakes, and it sounds like something that would slow you down not help.

If you're trying to duplicate what the program at the other site did, you're definitely doing it the slower way. Everyone that I taught to use Roboform quit using that program once they realized that it was quicker doing it straight from Roboform clicking on the passcard names.

My method of entering Classic Heartland sweeps is unbelievably fast. I let all the pages load at once, and when it's done I keep my cursor on the fill and submit and use the other hand to close the pages. I do all 38 of them in less than a minute. Womans Day is slower because the server is slower and the pages are more complex.

To enter dailies, I load 9 or ten of them at once, and click through really fast. It's a great method. I had no idea you were doing them one at a time, clicking through tabs.

My method has that little flaw, however, with the top page double loading and the bottom not loading. I really like it though.

It's actually quicker. I don't submit anything. Roboform does it. You don't have to open or close anything. I just keep clicking through the list. I've gotten over 700 dailies done once in 2 hours and 10 minutes which included all the involved sweeps like flash, etc. My husband timed it when he was home. That was the only time I stayed put so I could see how long it actually took. That's why the program at the other site was slower, because doing that involved one to two extra clicks for each sweepstakes rather than doing it straight from the passcard list.

...but stick to what you're comfortable with. I don't know what to tell you about those problems though.

I know what you mean about instantaneous fill and submit, but so many of them need you to type in a validation code that I keep that function turned off. In time, I will learn more Robo tricks. I'm still in training now.

My computer is seriously underpowered with only 512K ram, and I'm hoping to speed things up with the upgrade card I ordered. I will be adding 1MB of ram when it comes.

On the ones with validation codes, I know which ones they are. So, I just click on "Go and Fill" instead. The form is filled out. So, I just type in the code using the "enter" key on my keyboard.

Now that you mention it, my entering method is a lot like Sh_z_m at the other site, but I'm able to control which pages I want to open and how many. Sometimes, you don't go straight to the login, but I save the login as a bookmark, making entering very fast. I never did so many dailies.

Robo has other functions I don't yet understand, but can see the possibilities. I'm looking forward to many wins from now on.

Mine are all saved to the login page. The only forms I don't have control over are the flash forms, of course, since they're just projections on the page and Roboform can't see them. Any subsequent pages to entering are cloned as (1), (2), etc. After Roboform fills and submits the first page, I click once on "fill and submit" as soon as the next page comes up, and that page is done and gone, and so on.

I'm saying I would like it to automatically fill and submit at certain sites and/or domains such as Classic Heartland. Does the passcard function allow this?

With the exception of a few sweeps this doesn't work with, I let Roboform fill and submit all of my sweeps. If for some reason you don't want Roboform to submit one, just click on "Go and Fill" instead.

I think this would be a good enhancement for the next version. Have you ever contacted the company with a suggestion or complaint?

Yes, but only when they removed the password marker. Keep in mind that this is a form filler aid. Although you can set your own defaults, etc., I think your asking for something that goes beyond what it simply is meant for. If you can give me a better example of what you're trying to do (specific sweepstakes/websites) maybe I can understand what your asking better. Using the "Go and Fill" feature already ensures that Roboform won't submit the form for you. So, I really don't see anything else necessary for that. Plus, I don't think that's an issue that most users have. Most people do want as many of their sweepstakes forms as possible submitted by Roboform. Is there a specific reason you don't want Roboform submitting them for you?

When I 1st learned of robo, the submit button was considered a good way to get yourself DQ'ed :nono: Whether that is true or not, I have no idea. However, I have won that way :sunny

I always let Roboform submit every form possible. I average at least one prize per day. If that were true, there would be no way I could win this much. :headbang:

Exactly LIDARKSIDE!!! btw - I remember winning like that

I think it goes hand in hand with some other "advice" that was repeated - major reason why I don't take things at face value and research

I have been winning (I just did an affy :headbang: ) but not like I was there for awhile when I'd win 3 - 4 times a day every other day or so. See, lately I've had connection issues (since August :cussing: ) and my health precludes me from entering some days (when my eyes start jumping, I get a migraine... ) and I try to help find sweeps/help members, so my wins have dropped off.

Since I know it's possible to win that much/that often, I don't sweat the days I miss like I used to - but I sure miss that winning rush!!!

I was thinking of merging this thread with the Roboform links & Q&A thread in the Questions & Answers forum, but figured I'd just C&P some of your posts from here to it instead. :sunny:

I can relate where you're coming from. I'm having my share. Right now, there is something popped in my back giving me tremendous pain. The wonderful insurance companies won't let you get an MRI right away (you can just die in the meantime ). Instead, only x-rays and physical therapy which never seems to help!! After that, then and only then, you can get an MRI; and this is cost-effective how?????

Oh boy, can I relate!!! I was in the Navy when I started having back problems. I thought (for 2 years) it was doing construction work (I was a SEABEE) that made it hurt so bad, but the guys I worked with noticed how much trouble I was having and suggested I get it checked out.

Well... first I had to deal with Dr's who thought I was trying to skate, since I'm flexible and can bend over and almost put my hands on the floor. They were adamant that I couldn't possibly have pain. :nono:

I had to do x-rays, then was sent to physical therapy. After months of this, I was sent to get a bone scan and a cat scan. They showed nothing.

About 2 years after I first reported my pain, I finally was given an MRI, and they immediately saw the problem(s)!!! I had a herniated disc (L-4 L-5 S-1) spinal stenosis, and degenerative disc disease.

That was back in the late 80's early 90's. I had to get a medical discharge, and change my lifestyle from active (very active - volleyball, bowling, construction work...) to a sedentary one.

No idea how I injured my back - but if I could go back and avoid whatever it was, I'd do it in a heartbeat!!!

And, I'd have listened to the Dr's and taken it easy instead of pushing myself so hard - maybe I wouldn't be in pain all the time now if I had!!!

So listen to your body and the Dr's - they are following the "troubleshooting" rules: always assume it's the easist thing to fix first, then work your way up if the problem persists.

And if you can afford it, see a chiropractor to get a 2nd opinion. Reflexology/massage can be very beneficial too!!!
