I would appreicate some prayers and good thoughts to be threw my way and expecially my hubby's tomorrow. We have a kitty cat that has leukemia and have decided that tomorrow we will take him in and let him go. He has put up a brave fight, but is no longer happy or able to enjoy life, so the time to let him go has come, My heart is broke for the poor baby, but he is really my hubbies baby and he is so heart broke about letting him go. He knows it is for the best, but just is so sad about it. He is also upset because we saved this kitty from abusive people and the poor thing had a terrible life before, well it bothers my hubby that when the kitty finally started having a good life then he got sick and did not get near long enough of living the good life, all though I don't thing we ever think people or animals we love are with us long enough no matter how long they are here. so I would really appreciate your thoughts and prayers expecially for hubby to deal with this, he is quite a softey when it comes to his animals, he is the reason we have an animal shelter, I love animals allot, but he really is crazy over them. thank you all and God bless

My thoughts are with you and your husband in this difficult time. You have done so much good to make life better for your kitty, and for all the animals you shelter. May those positive reminders bring you comfort.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband.....I am a rescued kitty owner too.....I know how difficult it must be for you both.

 I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. Give hubby a big hug from me. At least poor kitty went knowing that he/she was loved and cared for by a wonderful family. Will pray that God gives you both the strength and love that you need during this time.

Gosh, I know your pain. Had to do the same thing with my rottie last year.
Take comfort in knowing that you are doing what is best for your beloved pet.

My thoughts and prayers are with you also. The kitty knows that you and your husband gave him a very good life. I know how hard this is for you. We had to do the same thing twice in 1 week with 2 of our cats. It is very hard. Take care and may God bless.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. It's hard to hear and believe, but you are doing the right thing. Last year I had to put my 22 year old cat to sleep. Suffering with cancer. Her name was Gris (pronounced "Gree"), and she was an indoor-only declawed house cat. She was a piece of my heart, and I feel the tears welling up as I write this. I adopted her at 2 months old, and she had to be put to sleep 1 month after her 22nd birthday. I had never had to do anything like that before (she was the only animal I had for 22 years!). Everyone said "you'll know when it's time", and I thought yeah, right, like I'll know when it's time to kill my cat, but it was true. I DID know when her time had come, and because I loved her so much, it was the right thing to do. I definitely take comfort in believing she knew how much I loved her and how much she loved me. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

thank you all, Sammie Sam I am,(nephew named him from green eggs and ham.) went very quietly this morning. He will be greatly missed, but yes I know it was time.

my thoughts are with you. he did get the chance to have a good life finally. I too had to have a loved pet put down a couple years ago and it is so hard. But it's even harder to watch them suffer. your doing the right thing for your loved kitty. each of my pets that I have lost is buried in my yard with a special plant near then to mark their grave. this is how I acknowledge them and remember my loved babies.
