Safe Lists

I posted this message on Questions and Answers on Nov. 20th, but never received a reply from anyone. Perhaps someone can help me on this board. The following message is what I posted -

I use Hotmail for my contests. I want to use their safe lists, but they only allow 250 sites listed, which means that I have to eliminate some of the names on my list, which is a problem, because I am not sure of which ones I should keep or eliminate to make room for other names. (I am poor at keeping track of expired sweepstakes, so I never know when prize notifications were sent out). How do I get around this? Is there something better than Hotmail?

Also, I am never sure what name or url address I should use for the safe list, example - I could use @scott.com or @scott.eprize.net. Your help is appreciated. Thanks!

I do use robo form and always save the entry forms, so it fills the forms for me. But, somehow, it doesn't seem to be enough. For instance, on the DVD movie web sites, when I attempt to email my entry to them, it bounces back to me. I enter the Rachael Ray contests and check the box for confirmation of receipt of my entry and I never get it. Since I've been using the "safe list", I have been getting more responses. But the list is limited. I'm not very computer savvy, so perhaps you can explain things further.

I enjoy sweeping and have won quite a few prizes and think this web site is great. Thank you.

I understand now what you mean by a "safe list". I just use my regular ISP email address for sweeping. It doesn't seem to me that you can do much to straighten this out other than get a new email address from elsewhere. I know that AOL has given people problems, and some sponsors won't accept entries with an AOL address or sometimes other email addresses. I suggest that you either use your regular ISP address or set up a separate email address with your ISP or change to another free email like Yahoo or something. I have a Yahoo email address I use for situations where I don't want someone to have my regular ISP address or as an email address to use on my children's sweeps. I don't have any problems with them.
