Serious security flaw affects every version of Internet Explorer | One Page | Komando.com

Updated 5/1 at 1:15 p.m.: Microsoft has released a permanent fix for this problem. You can install it via Windows Updates, or if you have automatic updates turned on it will install automatically. Contrary to its “no XP updates” policy, Microsoft also released a patch for XP computers you can install via Windows Updates.

Just from one computer tech I'd recommend permanently switching to a different browser than Internet Explorer (regardless of the patch released). There seems to be security flaws and/or performance issues much more frequently than other browsers. My users at work pretty much use Firefox unless the page doesn't display properly. Unfortunately a few of our primary customers' websites only display on IE, so users are forced to use it when interacting with them.

A lot of sweepers aren't tech savvy, so IE is the main browser used. I use FF, IE, and Chrome, depending on the promo, but I surf in FF
