Shop your way sweeps not working

I can't enter any of the shop your way sweeps. When I try to log in, it just spins and spins. I have tried FF, IE, Chrome to no avail, so it must be on my end somewhere. Any help?
 
Does it happen every time you try to enter, or only at certain times of day or night? If only sometimes, it could be site maintenance on Sears' end, or heavy traffic.

I use FF and only enter the SYWR IWs, but the spinning happens sometimes. I just wait a few hours and try again (or get too busy and miss out). Maybe it is not on your end. Hard to say, unless other people also have had the same experience.

I just checked some of the IWs and they are working for me at 1:50 am ET.

...or, maybe you need to do some updates. I looked for the thread by amyshulk with links to update java and things like that, but I can't find it.

Don't know if this will help, but I think it is the post I was looking for. It is a stickied thread right here in Tech/Computer Help, but sorry I don't know which of these(if any) may need to be updated for SYWR. Hope someone else replies so we can all learn!

Earlier today I was able to log in & enter the IW's but now it says:

We’re doing a little maintenance Enhancements are underway to help you get more! Please check back at 1:00 am CST

IF a promo/site worked for you in the past & ^then^ stopped working, maybe your browser updated & changed settings - try;

Troubleshooting tips/steps for technical difficulties;

1] make sure you are up to date on your browser/FLASH & allow the site thru your browser
2] Disable popup/adblockers, then
3] reload & retry,
4] use a different browser or,
5] Try again later.

Still not working properly?

>clear cookies/temp files & reboot ;
Your computer may be holding on to cached (old versions) of the page you want to load. If you dump temp files & cookies, the next time you try to load the page, your computer will have to load the newest version rather than the outdated one in your files.

OR

Switch to Opendns.com for DNS as some ISP's use outdated DNS servers.

So you have *never* been able to log in/enter johnsnook?

I only posted the maintenance info because the 1st thing I did was load an SA link & saw it was down.
 
Yes, Up until about 2 weeks ago I was able to log in. Then all of a sudden, no. It started in FF, so I tried IE, and it worked. The next day I went back to IE, and no go. Then I tried Chrome, still no go.
 
I really hope my comment helps you because I'm sure it is very frustrating/bad & not to mention a money loss to not be able to log in....
You need to call them up I don't have phone number...I thought you said you already tried that calling them before? ----BUT---- This very same thing happened to me many many weeks ago. I was at the Kmart too & tried to checkout & it said my account was locked or something to that effect.

Anyway SYW had everyone reset their Pin #'s and passwords they locked a lot of people out from what I understood by reading it online anyway...when I called they said after I did that changed my pin number and password, they could reset my account. And luckily they did!!!!

Sometime, when you call you get someone who doesn't know as much as the next person. Trust me I would call again.

Mention that in the past they had people reset their pin #'s & passwords...That should ring a bell with them.

I doubt this will work but I would live on that phone if it were me, u know!
 
Thanks doll38, that is important information not just for sweeps, but also for using SYWR points and coupons when shopping at Sears.

I thought the spinning (like page not loading or progressing?) was the problem, and johnsnook could not even get around to logging in - not the the log in was rejecting him. Yes, very frustrating problem/problems. Wish I could help more.

I know not everyone was effected some weeks ago with not being able to log in. My household has different accounts for different people. But, back when I couldn't log in my account was fine nothing prevented me from logging on ...However, the spinning happened on the other two accounts. We reset password and pin # (too).

Otherwise, I never change my password or pin number (no need to). So, we went to Kmart & thought everything was good to go. It wasn't. Even though we could log on the accounts were locked they had been flagged by a computer system the lady said. So she unlocked them after she confirmed everything.

I don't think it effected everyone .
 
OK, for some reason, the SYWR sweeps just started working again. Thanks everyone for your efforts
