SITE PROBLEMS

Besides the fact that the site is freaking out this morning (Ken, you must be playing), I have got a question about something that has been occuring for the last 6 months or so:

When I go to post a new topic of course I have to type my message in the rectangular box. Right. But as you all know: I can't say something in 50 words or less. That's where the problem arises. When I get to the bottom of the box all of a sudden the scroll bar on the right gets all jumpy and keeps bouncing back to what was the original frame.

Id est: I have to restrict my post to the original box ....... OR ....... I have to copy and paste my post from notepad or word pad ....... OR ........ I can play 'chase the cursor' and hope I'm faster than the scroll bar. In any case to edit or correct any text below the original box is impossible!

This not a new problem. It wasn't here, then It was here when I was using 98se with IE6 and it is still a problem when I am using Vista64 with IE8!!! So obviously it is not a problem with the my browser. It isn't my mouse drivers for the same reason: changed OS, Drivers, and the actual mouse.

I can't beleive that nobody else here has this problem. HELP!!!!!!! Opps, gotta quit typing now since I'm at the bottom of the box. Just a few more characters and I won't be able to see what I'm typing!
 
You are all probably using the "Spelling Cow" right? I think when this is enabled it causes issues especially when you use smiles.
 
It doesn't matter ... cow or no cow ... the milk's still sour.

(its just worse with the cow...must be the methane)

Okay ... what about text disappearing when you click a smiley in???? HUH??? Just happened to me right now and I had to retype this whole bloody thing :error: TWICE ... THRICE ...

I have written to the spelling cow people before about this bug and they don't seem to care. I need to find a replacement for this. I'll start looking again. :wave:
 
Nope - it always caused me too many problems, as LB outlined above. I look up words I'm not sure on {I think that's how I got my last BLINGO win? :laughing: } and reread & fix if I catch an error.

I just have the page jumps/inabilty to C&P/quote, etc. without that being the cause.

I've mentioned it in the past {why I did mult. posts/sent mult. pms} but I never posted before on it specifically since I really did think it was a conflict on my comp!!! :crazytongue:
