So dh started a new job this week

Long story short, dh started a new job Monday morning and he went in today for his check. He came out with a christmas bonus, less than a week on the job!

He brought home 2 cases of 16 oz cans of beer :cheers: and a $25 Kroger GC. Sooooo happy! I don't drink beer but, got the gc so going to use it tomorrow for some things we need for the house. He gave away one of the cases and kept one for himself. From what I hear, he will be given beer often on Fridays from the company. I told him to score me a case of energy drinks one of these days!
 
:sunny: What a wonderful employer to give out bonuses to even the new employee. It's a little odd that they get bonuses of beer though. Most employers sure don't encourage their workers to drink. :cheers:

I agree with you about the beer thing. I would go into more details but, I don't want to share too much info online. I have some stalkers from real life that follow me around online so I don't mention certain things anymore.

Ditto that. I know what you mean about online stalkers following you around.

Congrats on the good fortune. Does he work for a beverage distributor? I never heard of an employee getting beer as a bonus. Most often a turkey.
 
congrats on the job!.. seems like a nice employer. It makes it easier to work when you like who you are working for.
 
Thanks everyone. Dh is a truck driver, don't know if that helps any. I don't want to give anyone any clues that could cost him his job. I know too many sad, nasty people who would do this to someone too.

I spent the $25 kroger card today. I got a free pack of honey turkey and free cheese with coupons so all together, I paid $1 out of my pocket. :headbang:

:sunny: So sorry to hear that you know people that don't have anything better to do than follow you around. I have never understood some people. If they spent as much time doing good as they did doing ugly things, their own lives would turn around and everyone's lives would be better. Keep your chin up girl!
 
Thanks. My stalker is from real life and has been threatened. I made it clear that if things didn't stop I was going to file charges. The messages and pm's from forums have stopped at least but, I know I am still followed around. Yes, total waste of time and energy. Time for people to move on in life and leave mine alone. I don't worry about it much anymore, I am just more careful about what I share with others.

I love what you said about the instants red, I think we should all stalk eachother for awhile *sneaks out to enter some instants*
