Something for the hosts?

What would you bring to a party, assuming you don't know the hosts too well and there's tons of food? Would a household/gift item be ok?

:cheers: A host/hostess gift is always a thoughtful idea even for close friends. I also like to take my digital camera, take lots of pictures at the party, then send a cd/dvd to them as a thank you for the special day.

Just about anything would be acceptable for a hostess gift. A bottle of wine would also be nice to go with all the food! IF it is something you would like to receive, I am sure it will be fine. It probably will not be expected and come as a pleasant surprise. Very thoughtful!

If you don't know the host very well, can you ask someone who does what types of things they enjoy? Maybe, a nice little gift basket you put together with wine, glasses, cheese and grapes with a couple hand towels in a vinyard design?
