has anyone started? I have my to do list, my cleaning supplies and my playlist all ready in my ipod. I got one room done today and gonna start on the living room tomorrow. The kids have been home for break so Its been difficult. I loooove to clean. :thewave: What cleaning supplies do you like, what works the best? I love magic eraser's. They work so good on the fridge, stove, and frig.
Im like a cleaning machine.

we are going to start next week when kailey is off for spring break. I can't wait, 4 more days. I hate cleaning, but hey at least I don't have to go to work. lol. :crazytongue:

 spring cleaning hmmmmm reminds me of summer fall and winter :crazytongue:

Yep, no Spring Cleaning here either. I'm a cleaning machine! You could actually eat off of my toilet

I did, however, clean our sliding door jamb today. Had been putting that off. Now I will sleep peacefully tonight.

Im a clean freak myself but spring cleaning is for the things that arent included in everyday cleaning. moving stove, frig etc... cleaning screens etc

I hate to clean...I hate it. I like to organize. If I could get everything organized then everything would be fine, but Jimmie is such a tightwad with money that he won't let me buy what I think I need to organize things :cussing: When you have a house of pack rats you have to have someone to organize and I am the only one that wants to do it!

I love cleaners...I just wish I liked to use them as much as I loved to collect them

Those are done weekly. I've been a SAHM for 11 years now so I have nothing but time and cleaning supplies on my hands LOL My mother is the same way. I find it very therapeutic in a sense and I never have to worry about unexpected company.

I'm also very organized and hate clutter. We have a 3,000 square foot home and it's our castle so I want to treat it as such. Now if I could only win the stainless steel appliances from Woman's Day

Well, I have been planning to do it but, procrastinating here! I need to soon though, plan to have a rummage sale in a couple weeks to make some $$ for the casino trip I am taking next month. (Have free tickets to Tracy Lawrance and hotel stay). Whatever I don't sell I will find somewhere to donate some and then take some to the consignment shop. I have to downsize, I am tired of clutter.

hey momma of 3 girl.... .man o man.... my house looks like a friggiin' wind tunnel... I need to clean this baby sooo bad... we haven't been home (at all)... been away from home alot and it shows now... looks like someone left the place in a hurry...lol.. that's horrible, i shouldn't say that.. lol... but this weekend I promised I would act like people live here and "get er' done".... I'll play some blues music and hook this place up......oh and by the way...no home is perfect... they all need some "dustin'"

I really don't have much to do this year. I have been the home improvement queen the last few months, so with new paint came all the cleaning. Nothing much to dread here except maybe the inside of the fridge!

Same here! I picked up my cleaning habits from my mother. It was always clean, clean, clean. Appliances also get pulled out regularly. It's not just a weekly thing either. Everyday, I'm wiping something down or dusting something.

...and those stainless steel appliances look nice but are horrible, because they pick up every fingerprint and mark whenever they're touched (especially with children). So, I'm constantly in there with the Windex!

Do your hands crack and bleed from always being in water? LOL! Mine didn't crack this year, just get very dry. They must be used to it  Well, that and Neutrogena Norweigian Formula glycerin hand cream. That stuff smells really good and works VERY well!!

I make 1-2 buckets of Pine-Sol every day. More when I need to mop our tiled surfaces which here lately has been every day. My sons are 11 and 6 and my niece just turned 11 today and ALL 3 of them are very messy! I'm always wiping something up or wiping something down.

I must have close to 20 windows in our home. Combine that with glass, sliding patio doors and our front storm door(95% glass) and it takes me all day just to do windows. It's nearly killed me not being able to clean them until a couple of days ago because of our weather.

Hubby was telling me of a line of stainless steel appliances that have the streak-free finishing. Ever heard of it? He couldn't remember the brand name. Anyways, those would be nice but I doubt the Woman's Day wins are streak-free which is still fine with me. I just want 'em!

My fingertips used to crack, but they haven't for awhile now.

There is a brand of stainless steel that supposed to not streak or show fingerprints, but you just know the stuff that gets on there (especially from the children) is there even if you can't see it.

*Note to self* Stop using other cleaners and grab a bottle of windex for the appliances.

...or you can do a spit shine!! :crazytongue:

It's funny how I can have all kinds of spray cleaners, but I always grab for the Windex. It just seems to work better than anything else.

You know, I have spots on my appliances that just won't clean and it's driving me insane! I don't know what the material is, I don't think it's completely stainless steel (Stove and fridge) but, they are really nice. I will take pics and maybe someone here can tell me. I'll do that later. Love black, gray and stainless steel appliances and just started collecting the stuff since moving to MS.

The house went from looking wonderful to looking like crap in 20 minutes flat! I went outside to pick up our backyard and come back inside to see crumbs on the just mopped kitchen floor, crumbs on the kitchen table, milk rings, toys strewn about, and an army face paint compact sunning itself on MY bathroom floor! Not to mention one of the heathens smeared it in the bathroom sink.

Little asses are getting sat down and getting reamed!! :cussing:
