I won the Nov. T Mobile grand prize which is a autographed jersey from Dwyane Wade, a T Mobile Sidekick phone with $50 prepaid minutes and a selection of NBA gear altogether worth $1,000.00. My hands were shaking so bad when I filled out the paperwork!

I answered Real Media when they asked what sizes I wished for the warmup suits, jerseys, etc. and asked that they include 12 sets of wristbands for my trainable mentally handicapped middle school students (like preschoolers - 2nd grade) that I teach. They are including them in addition to the other items, a 5 disc set of NBA championships, and another DVD of NBA basketball. My whole class, boys and girls, are "into" basketball so they were very kind to me and my class.

I have been on this site when I have time since June and this is my first big win.

PLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEASE have the kids (who can) wrote thank you notes or make pictures for them and send them a picture (if the parents are ok with it) of the kids in the warm up jacket.

I can tell you that really makes Sponsors and JAs feel that doing sweeps ARE good business.

by the way... on a more "practical" side. You can write off the portion you donated to the school on your taxes. So you aren't hit with the full value of the prize since you doanted it. Even tho the kids got the prizes, you can ask the school to write you a receipt for a donation. Most will do it for things like this.
 
What a fantastic win!! Congratulations!!

Thank you so much for training the mentally retarded kids as well!! My sister-in-law (48) is mentally retarded and has been very active in the Special Olympics...I can't even begin to tell you what it's done for her self-esteem and her social life - so thank you for putting in the time and effort!!! :sunny:
