The price of tires!

Ok, this is blowing my mind, the tires we just bought cost more than the tax value of the van!!! :crazytongue:
Between tires and gas, how is anybody going to be able to afford to have a vehicle?

they are high. My friend had to use her stimulus check to get new tires for her expedition. We just bought a used mini van and we made sure the tires were new. Didnt want to turn around and put money into the thing right away.

Try fueling a plane right now. :nono: The cost TRIPLED in the last year for my jet.

I keep reading where airlines are doing stuff to help them and folks are getting pissy. AA stated that they made $75 a seat from LaGuardia to Orlando last year. Now they make less than $50 and that's before the cost of fuel, upkeep and other costs. And people are getting annoyed how flights have been dropped and cancelled. It's a BUSINESS and it's dying.

I'm sure we are going to watch half of the airlines go out in the next two years if things keep going like this.

What bugs the hell out of me is neither party, REpublican or Democrats, have said a thing for the last 3 years.

The oil companies are mkaing a profit of $77,000 an HOUR right now... where is the outrage????

My Grandfather had a Piper Cub and a WWI Biplane. The Biplane would be all we would be able to fly now. Stall speed was 18 mph so you could just coast for miles...gosh I miss that plane. It got great gas mileage. But I can't see flying an open cockpit box kite for long distances.
We need to go back to Zeppelins. Those were very fuel efficent. Just don't use exploding gas this time!

No one is willing to stir the pot...we have an outgoing President and if anyone says anything that is to radical they will blamed forever for being the one to down a candidate. It is sickening that an average family is facing the prospects of losing their homes because they can't afford to work ~ not enough money to pay the bills. Where do you draw the line between food and your house??? Talk about being between a rock and a hard place ~ the bad part, I think it is just beginning! I think we still have a long way to fall...

AARGH!!!!!! I swear I was just stressing this morning because my vehicle needs new tires and I don't want to even know the price!!!!!!!! It makes me want to take a bus or get a darn bike or something!!!! Carpool to work maybe, who knows!!! But according to the news reports, there's a good chance that it will go up to $7 a gallon in the next 2 years!!!! Then we will all have to ride bikes and take the bus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I'll win some new tires

Our weekly grocery bill has went up by $100.00 a week :nono: That is just beyond comprehension to me ~ and we are getting less and less. Thank goodness for freebies and coupons...
