unable to sort sweeps

I just started using a new laptop running Chrome. I prefer to sort my sweeps by expiration date, ascending, before entering each day, so I am entering the ones that are about to expire first. (Silly, I know, but it works for me.) When I set it up this way, it does sort, but as soon as I do anything else, or change pages, it reverts to default. In effect, I can only sort the first page, and I lose that if I run Sweepspop. This is probably a setting I have missed, but I can't figure it out. Can anyone help?

I know If I sort and then save then new pages will open in the sort order, but if I leave it sit too long and/or don't save, it reverts back.
 
Sorry it took so long to check. I have compared the settings in Chrome side by side between my desktop and laptop, and as far as I can tell, they match line for line, but the problem persists. Any other ideas? Like I said, it's not a tremendously big deal, but I am a creature of habit and superstition.
 
Update--just tried to sort in IE, and have the same problem. Could it be a setting in Windows 7 versus Vista on my desktop?
