Subject: Up to Speed Challenge Update
To players of our Up to Speed Challenge,
It has come to our attention that, due to technical issues, the integrity of the "Up to Speed Challenge" has been compromised, and for this we apologize.
In order to resolve the issue and ensure the integrity of the contest for the remainder of the racing season, we will be resetting the leader boards to start at week 26, the week in which we can confirm that the game was operating properly.
This fix will allow players to continue playing the game through the last race on Nov 15, at which time a winner will be determined.
We apologize for the inconvenience; however, this action was necessary because of the nature of the technical issues. It also provides the most equitable outcome to all players. We are implementing this solution only after exploring all possible options for fair, effective and long-lasting solutions that will ensure the rest of the season goes as it should.
As a show of our appreciation for your patience, ESPN and Nationwide Insurance will be sending every person who has entered the contest a gift in the mail. Those who have played more than half the season will also be receiving an additional offer from ESPN and Nationwide Insurance in the coming days. In order to process your gift, please make sure your mailing address is updated here.
Thank you for your understanding. You are our most important priority and we are intent on delivering the game experience you deserve.
Sincerely,
ESPN Co-Marketing Team
I think this is why we all got hats!
