Update: Chocolate basket win

I won a $150.00 Chocolate Sweepstakes & Giveaways gift basket from Foodease, fb contest. They are mad because i don't live in Chicago and can't come and pick it up, I'm in Michigan. I read the rules and nowhere does it say that you have to live in Chicago and come and pick it up, so waiting to here back from them if they will ship it or not...

Curious question. Where in Michigan do you live? One of my greatnephews lives in Detroit area and his daughter's name is Katie.

Would be quite funny if this is Andrea?

Congrats! I hope they do ship it to you, if not maybe you could offer to pay shipping? I love chocolate, so I guess for me I wouldn't mind paying shipping even though it's a prize and you shouldn't have to since they didn't state in the rules that you had to live in Chicago. Hopefully it all works out for you, good luck! :)

Thanks everyone for your support and suggestions, hopefully I here from them tomorrow and i will ask them about me covering the shipping. :scratch:

I live roughly an hour north of detroit too. I wonder if I live close to you. What county are you in?

I bet they didn't expect national exposure for a local promo & I guess they won't use boilerplate rules next time they run a promo!
