I was contacted by this company and announced the winner of the $25,000 kitchen remodel sweeps..Thought it was wonderful at first until they sent a local contractor out to give us an estimate and the estimate was $45,000! So needless to say, we can not afford $20,000 so had to let it go. A huge disappointment but it is what it is..

Wow! Sorry it didn't work out! It's a shame they couldn't just give you a $25,000 upgrade.

That's so wrong!! Should have just done $25,000 worth and leave it at that...like just cabinets or just appliances.

Oh no! Isn't there something in the rules that they can substitute or perhaps find a lower option or even a cash option? The taxes on that is crazy.

So sorry to see them do that. They could have let you reface and paint your current cabinets and add new hardware.

So if they know their cabinets run that much, then why not give away $45,000 in cabinets? Also, was the estimate just for the cabinets/installation or were they going to redo your entire kitchen with flooring, countertops and appliances? The contractor might have had that in mind to make some additional money off of the free cabinet install, because some thing just doesn't seem right about the situation. Hope you win something even bigger soon that you CAN use!
