Well an update on my grand prize win in the Lets go Fishing instant win, It started out I won a $19500 Triumph Skiff, Then they called me and said that the Triumph boat was unavailable and they would be upgrading to a Triton 171 bay Explorer. which has retail of 25,700. So they send me a certificate signed by Bass pro that was for the boat at any Triton dealer of my choosing. So I find one about 150 miles from where I live and set up getting the boat. Well they say that the boat I won is a salt water boat, and while it can be used in fresh water, It would be better for me to get a fresh water as I could get more features , so they contact the sponsor and decide I can pick out any Triton boat up to the $25,700 value, and they say I can pick a lower value, then use the extra to pay sales tax. In my state you have to pay sales tax to title a boat, at the at the value of boat, whether purchased , Well that is about $1800, So thinking a boat around 24,000, then tax , Well this morning they call and say sorry can not use the certificate at lower value and use the remainder for tax, and have to use this certificate in the next 30 days, so I was worried would not have enough money to do it, But the sponser at Lets go fishing were so great when I told them, they are cutting me a check to pay the sales tax so I can still get my boat and not have to worry about the sales tax. I just thought that was great of them to do and was really impressed. god is greaT and keep the faith.
