Partly Sunny
High: 30°
Low: 20°
Mostly cloudy in the morning then sun developing. Wind: North 5-12 mph.
North breezes behind the big storm that dumped on us Friday will draw air that's a good 10 degrees below normal into our area this weekend. The snow cover will help keep it cool as well. We are hoping for sun to gradually develop Saturday as the drier air punches in. If it stays fairly clear Saturday night, the mercury could really tumble. It wouldn't surprise me to see some locations reach the upper single digits. Fresh snow cover is an excellent radiator of heat at night. That is, the low level warmth quickly gets transmitted out into the upper atmosphere by snow cover at night, when winds are light and skies are clear.
In any case, clouds will thicken Sunday afternoon as the next front approaches from the west. This could coat us with another inch or so of snow Sunday night into Monday morning. It's a quick mover and not nearly as strong as the last storm.

Light snow in the morning, inch or two possible, then decreasing clouds.
The snow will affect your commute this morning. It looks like an inch or 2 is possible for much of the area. The snow should be done around noon leaving us with better driving conditions going home this afternoon. Highs temps will be in the upper 30s so most of the snow should melt off the roadways.

As mentioned yesterday, we are entering a very benign period of weather (the non-scientific meteorological term for this weather pattern is "BORING!"). There just isn't much to say. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy from today through Saturday. Not much precipitation is expected through the forecast period. I am calling for a chance of flurries on Saturday, and that's it. High temps will be around 40 from today through Friday and then drop into the mid 30s for Saturday. Low temps will be around 30 through the week and then a little cooler, in the mid 20s, on Saturday.
So it will be a little colder for the deer hunters on Saturday. A high of 35 really isn't too bad for hunting, but there will not be much sunshine, and the wind may be a bit of a factor. I expect a northwest wind of 10 to 20 mph. That is enough to cause a chill, especially if you are sitting on a "stand" all day. There will not be as much wind on Sunday and there should be more sunshine. Low temps will be in the low 20s around daybreak and then rise into the 35 to 40 range during the afternoon. It should be a perfect deer hunting day, and a good day for the Packers to beat the Patriots at Lambeau field.

It rained today, alot!! About 70 D, but it seems cool. I wish it were colder. Two years ago I was in Washington state, cold I loved it, I just din't drive in the snow. Now I'm in La. Today rainy and cold tommorow who knows. Better that the weather we had a year ago. I am very thankful for that. :lol:

Earlier in the week I used a non-scientific weather term to describe the conditions outside - boring! I suppose a less negative word would be uneventful or unchanging, but boring also fits the bill. Going through the next 6 days there will be a slight change. It will be boring....but warmer! The warm-up will not begin until Sunday, but today and tomorrow will not be too bad. It will be mostly cloudy today with high temps in the upper 30s. A few flurries may develop as a weak trough of low pressure approaches the area. This weather system will cross through the area on Saturday so the chance of flurries will continue.
For all the hunters heading out into the woods it looks like low temps on Saturday morning will be in the upper 20s with a light wind out of the NW. In the afternoon it will be mostly cloudy with a few flurries and a NW wind about 10-15mph. On Sunday it will be a little chilly in the morning with lows in the 20-25 range and a NW wind about 10mph. In the afternoon the weather should be partly to mostly sunny with a high near 40 and a NW wind about 5-10mph.
