Whatcha look like?

So many beautiful and handsome pictures!

Tiff, the eyebrow thing is actually a rebel story. I had always wanted it done but, my husband wouldn't go for it, hated the idea and hated piercings. He didn't even like the fact that my nose was pierced. Anyways, when we separated in 06 I went through a major phase trying to find myself. I cut my butt length hair up to my shoulders (he was big on long hair too) and I went and pierced my eyebrow. Even though we were on the brink of divorce (I filed papers and dropped them when we decided to work it out) he HATED it and wished I would take it out and let my hair grow back. It was like hello?! We are getting divorced, you have no say in anything anymore!

Anyways, when we got back together he hinted a few times that he wished I would remove the barbell but, I didn't. One day I was going to and he said it kinda grew on him so it's still in. I also told him that my hair will not be grown that long again. I cut it every few months. He wants me to grow it but, I like it shorter. I had long hair for years. I rarely wear a nose stud as it bugs me when the wire slips because, I have to fix it and it looks like I am picking my nose.

Needless to say, I changed A LOT while he was in MS and I was still in CA. I may be 30 with piercings but, I am happy with them :)

lol I went through a crazy phase in my life after I had my daughter. I was about 20 years old, married, and had a new baby. Very depressed, kind of felt like my life was over. Well My husband and I ended up getting tattoos. After that I went back there, and wanted to get my tongue pierced. That hurt so bad. But the thing that hurt the most, was after, when my tongue started swelling. It was horrible, it hurt so bad. About a week or two later, I realized theres nothing cool about it. I kept biting the metal, and I talked funny. So I took it out.
I don't even like jewerly, I don't wear my wedding ring either (it doesn't fit me, and Im scared of losing it). So thats pretty wierd for me to want piercings.

I would love to get another tattoo though. :crazytongue:

I like tattoo's, I want some more and I want the tattoo I have on my wrist turned into something else. It says "Miki" and looks horrible since it was a homamde tat I had my dad do when I was about 18. The one on my upper leg stays covered all the time so that doesn't bother me much. I want a tattoo on my lower back when I lose some more weight and one on my ankle also.

I'm 44 and have a belly button ring and love it. I didn't get mine until I was in my late 30's. Would love to have my ta ta's pierced, but I'm too chicken. Tried to get my husband to get his pierced, but he has refused so far. Still working on it though!

ohhh wow too funny. 44 and a belly button ring.

Bunnytoes...i luv ya.. when i read tatas pierced I almost died...I personally have no peircings or tattoos.. but I have always wanted to have them... I live vicariously through my best friend/cousin who's husband is a piercer and tattoo artist...she has tons of both... she happens to have her tatas pierced and I have a seriously funny story to tell about that...
My dad ( her uncle) works at a plant that processes precious metals...she was a contract welder and had to go to work there ..well needless to say you have to pass through metal dectectors to get in to work ....well My DAD(her uncle ) happened to be standing at the entrance when she came to work her first day and she was scanned for metals..and the handheld scanner kept going off at her tatas...so my dad said " sucks to have a wire bra on huh!...and to her embarassment she had to tell them she wasnt wearing a bra that it was her tata rings...she told me later that she had never been so embarassed in her life than to have her uncle find out she wears tata rings...we stilll laugh to this day and this was over 5 years ago!

I'll have to try to find one...I don't really get into picture taking now ~ lol!! It might have to be an older one and you might have to use your imagination

LMAO!! You guys are too funny!!

My hubby looks better and better with age and I'm falling to pieces so just use your imagination on me too

Nice to see everyone!

Wow! You're a hot biker babe!

And you go on that big a$$ tat!! Despite wanting something that is that big, I don't have the guts. Hell, I don't even have the guts to get something like a heart

And I'll add that when you said "front and back" I thought you'd be wearing a pair of assless chaps or something

*blush* Gee, thanks guys! :sunny:

completelyme - LMAO!!! I can see why you thought that! I have seen that "assless chaps" look so many times at biker rallies and events! Many creative versions, too. The funniest thing about it though, is watching them try to climb back on their bike after that seat has gotten sizzling hot in the noonday sun! Sizzle sizzle!

You know, if you want tats, you really should do it. Trust me, you can handle it. Just find an artist who makes you feel comfortable, and be sure to look at pictures of their actual work on ppl. Life is just too darn short to live with regrets and things you wished you had done. Plus, you gotta keep up with that hot tattooed hubby, dontchya! :crazytongue:

Tiff - Thanks! Actually, I am very lucky. I am friends with tattoo artists, so I pay very little compared to regular clients. Something like my back piece would be in the realm of $2500 or more, normally. Cute tiger you got there! Why did you make him purple? Is it your favorite color?

I didn't really know what I wanted. So I looked at all the pictures they had. And when I saw the baby purple tiger, I just loved it. It reminds me of a neopet.

Yes, Biker Babe, I feel like I'm left behind with all of hubby's tats. I'm supposed to be getting the one on his arm/wrist. In the second pic I posted look at the white paper bracelet he has on and then look at the tat directly above it. It kinda looks like a snakey design. That is actually he and I kissing and our bodies are entertwining/entertwined. Instead of getting our names on each other we decided to come up with a design of our own that represented our life together, our love for each other, etc. he came up with it and I loved it! I'm the snakey being on your left...with the long hair  It's a hell of a lot better than the other one he had in mind! Don't ask :booty"

I have to get it done. Even if I just get the outline and have it shaded or filled later. Everyone asks to see mine and I have to admit that I'm too chicken $h!t. I feel like I'm letting him down. I keep saying I'm going to buy a Xanny bar and then go do it. Thing is, his tat guy keeps violating his probation so I have to do it when he's out of jail

Wow, you are pretty hard on yourself! :nono: You should be nicer to you, you are the only one of you that you will ever get!!

Please don't be afraid. They do hurt, but it isn't unbearable at all. At worst it is like a bad cat scratch. Most of the time they are working on a decent sized tat the endorphins rise up in the skin and it doesn't feel like much at all. Sometimes it even feels kinda nice, like someone drawing on you with a ball point pen. You get a "zing" now and then when they move to an area they haven't worked on in awhile, but nothing major. Placement is key. Inner arm (particularly near the armpit), ribcage, flank, inner thigh, just below the butt on the back of the leg, and back of the knee all hurt bigtime to be tattooed. Arms, upper back, outer thigh, and legs aren't bad at all. If I had to pick what was the easiest places for me to be tattooed, I would say upper back/shoulder, thighs, and arms. I actually fell asleep when my right thigh was being worked on.

As far as taking anything before going, what I would recommend the most if you take anything at all, would be a mild muscle relaxant. The more you can relax, the less it hurts. Be sure not to take anything that thins the blood, like alcohol, aspirin, or ibuprofen as it will make you bleed more and "muddy" the ink. This makes the tattoo look less "sharp" and makes the color fade a bit more over time.

I telll you, it sucks I can't just put back some Jager and go do it LOL That's why I figured the Xanny would help. I still don't know where I want it. I am thinking somewhere on my upper shoulder or back.

Hubby got most of his arm done in 3 hours and was sicker than a dog! I've been scared $h!tless since. He had to drive the hour home and by the time he had gotten here, he was broke out with fever, chills, and almost vomited. I had to wrap him in 3 comforters and he slept like that all night. He was THAT cold! He said he had gotten too much ink in so little time and was having a bad reaction to it. I remember getting up throughout the night to check on him to make sure he was still alive LOL

Hmmm... That concerns me.. That really isn't normal. I would not go back to that same shop. Either the artist is really grinding on him (pressing way too hard and causing major pain), or he is using crap Chinese ink.

The reaction he had sounds like systemic shock.

You might want to look into getting a different tattoo artist.
