whats the weather like where you are

We have snow covering the ground and tomorrow it is suppose to be in the 60's and stormy...I just hope there isn't any tornados!

This morning it was 8F here in Friday Harbor! It is actually the COLDEST spot in Western Washington! It is clear with light winds.

But! It gets better. Later this afternoon they are predicting 6-8 inches of snow!

Wait! It gets even better! Throughout Western Washington they are predicting winds from 40-50 MPH over the entire area. WITH winds from 50-80 MPH in various areas.

(just a reminder for you folks from Florida and New Orleans: 75 MPH is hurricane force. :whistle: The only problem here will be that it isn't 80 degrees, the 'frozen' rain won't be warm, and the "hurricane drinks" have to be thawed before we can stick a straw in them!)

I will let you all know when we thaw out. :crazytongue:
 
This Evening: Cloudy and windy with a few flurries possible and temperatures falling into the low 20s by late evening.

Tonight: Cloudy and windy with flurries possible and lows near 10.

Sunday: Variable cloudiness, very windy and much colder. Highs in the mid to upper teens and wind chills below zero most of the day.

Sunday night: Clear and very cold with lows dropping to near 5.

well, the weather pundits were right today! :laughing:

It started snowing at 7:00 pm (3 hrs ago) and we now have ABOUT 3 1/2" MORE. No sign of letting up. Winds are constant at about 30-35 MPH right now with visability of 200-300'. Temp rose to a whoppin' 24 degrees.

Might have to dig my way out in the morning! :cheers:

It's FREEZING here in Chicago! Last year at this time I was in Phoenix. Now I am in the middle of a 30 below nightmare. :cry:

I did miss the snow when I was in the SW, however. Just not THIS! LOL.
 
We got a total of about 7" of snow last night! Luckily the winds didn't get really bad here. Some places nearby had gusts of 97 MPH. It was blowing down telephone poles!!!!

Today it hit about 32 1/2 F. (Neither the snow nor me believe it though) Now it is snowing again, 1" so far, and the temp is 30. The snow plow guys have given up.

They are saying now that we will be "white" until after Xmas.

Our weather is just so strange lately. It was cold when my mother came this week and she had went through an ice storm to get here. It stayed in the 30's while she was here. The day after leaving, it went up to between the 60s-70s and was like that until yesterday. Today, chilly again and suppose to be 16-19 degree's tonight. Brrrr

It snowed for 57 straight hours. I am tired and sore from shoveling. Those of you living in Florida, all I have to say is :tongue2:
 
It is a warm 11 degrees here...I am freezing to death. Thank goodness Tuesday it is going to be 47 degrees! I am ready for spring!
 
Freezing rain all morning into the afternoon. This afternoon starts to change into rain then back into thunderstorms...grrrrr!!!!
 
^^ Yikes, I hate freexing rain - makes it impossible to drive in!

We have more snow today! But it is in the twenties!
 
we are getting the freezing rain here too. I just talked to my husband and he said he was trying to stop and the tanker starting going sideways.. :whistle: Thats scary. Its not so bad when the tanker is full but driving in these conditions with an empty tanker is rough. I will be glad when he is done for the day and can come home.

a little concerned about Thursday. :laughing: with the wind chill it could be 15-20 below.. dont think I want the kids standing up at the bus stop in those kinds of temps. maybe they will cancel school.

It is COLD here! Thursday's high was only 25 degrees here in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Right now, it is 14 degrees...heading for an expected low of 5 degrees...! It is officially a three-dog night here. :laughing:
